are there any working gta 5 money glitches

are there any working gta 5 money glitches - win

Is there a better alternative to this game? Like GTA without being GTA?

(WARNING: Major salt below. Like freaking Dead Sea levels of salt.)
Like holy shit. For a game that's been out for 7 years you'd think it would be able to function at a playable level or at least have some semblance of balance. I just wanna a good online crime sim with cool vehicles and weapons but everything in this game is ridiculously inflated to the point where you could 'grind' for hours and still only be able to afford a fraction of a car (Even the cars that have been from updates from YEARS ago have not gone down in price, like what the hell? I can't even access any of the cool shit in Story Mode either which is beyond infuriating). 'grinding' is essentially impossible in the conventional sense because you'll spend hours on ridiculously difficult missions fighting waves of bullet sponges for scraps of a chance for money. The constant errors and glitches don't help either. Take the heist prep delivery glitch for the yellow circle for example. Over a year ago my heist supplies just would'nt deliver for the Diamond Casino to the point where I couldn't progress at all. A year later and the same glitch is still present in the Cayo heist where I spend like 12 minutes getting shot at with supplies only to find I can't enter the Kosatka. Like really Rockstar? Over a year and you still haven't fixed this? I can send support tickets but they all lead to the response of 'oh we're aware and working on it!' Well clearly you aren't if its been this long! Don't even get me started on griefing, like who the fuck decided adding in the Specter from Saints Row was a good idea?! I absolutely LOVE getting fucking nuked by a dozen fucking depressors that I can't fight back against.
I really wish there was a strong competitor in the open world video game market to take Rockstar down a notch. Its super ripe for the taking seeing as how low the bar is with the state of online today. FiveM definitely has the right idea but even that is just a derivative of GTA. GTA Online is a game designed for junkies, to keep you glued to a screen spending hours to get overpriced items in hopes you'll just cave and buy microtransactions (which are also fucking overpriced. The Megalodon card is 8 mil and cost $99. 8 mil gets you like 1 property with all upgrades, FFS a yacht is 9 mil. You're telling me a virtual boat is worth 3x the retail price of your game? What kind of brain dead toddlers are buying these things?!)
If you're playing GTA Online in 2021, you've gotta be a fool, a junkie, or a masochist. Like fuck, there's gotta be a better alternative open world game than this shit. It has rekindled my interest in building a gaming rig just to play FiveM.
(I started writing this during a loading screen. I need to get outside more)

The Current State Of RDO For Veterans, Casuals & Newcomers Alike.

I've seen a lot of back and forth between veteran players, casuals & newcomers alike about this update, Rockstar and the game in general. Some are against thier actions, some defend them and some are neutral. Personally I love the game I played during BETA and now on PC, but I also despise it for it's issues. This latest update feeling like one big warning to stop playing altogether. For now, I'm taking a break from playing. So I've compiled and left a list of issues, general facts and lack-of for people to better judge & talk about the current situation of the game below:
•Online was first released in BETA November 2018, during BETA they introduced Microtransactions with a very scarce amount of content.
•Online later came out of BETA in May 2019 still scarce in content, and then in September it's first major update introducing 3 core roles.
•As a comparison to GTA Online, RDO lacks the Rockstar Editor, Creator Mode, Private Free Roam, aim locked Free Roam/PVP Modes (Free Aim or Auto Aim) & even text chat on PC.
•There was a 7 month period with no news or any information about an update alongside the community protesting as clowns to garner some communication from Rockstar to no avail.
•The collector role was nerfed/randomized due to how rockstar underestimated the ingenuity of the community, one of the main reasons being it was the best paying and easiest to do with a player guided map. Rather than also balancing other roles to make them equal. Such as bounty targets/target rewarding a measly $2
•Naturalist update releases, a sort of rehash of the collector role that lacks in useful content such as re-skins of the exact same legendary coat, being punished for killing animals despite a separate role & dailies that depend on it, pumping animals full of 20 rounds of sedative ammo just to take a sample, overpriced tonics & gold pamphlets that allow you to become an animal in a limited area for a limited amount of time for seemingly no purpose.
•We get outlaw passes, limited time content that relies solely on purchased or earned Gold along with XP or gold rank ups. This taking up a decent portion of content that people tend to get fixated on. This tactic alongside limited time stock clothing is just to put pressure on the purchase of Gold Bars (If you're running low) and to keep player numbers afloat for a longer period. (Fallout 76 has a similar tactic with Atomic Shop Items only being available for a limited time and the Legendary Run) We even have/had legendary bounties, emotes and legendary animals drip fed to us to drag out the update.
•Most of the new content that is added is either locked behind a Role or the Outlaw pass, hair styles, clothing, skills, horses, weapon styles, even emotes and walking styles. So essentially, we have to pay to unlock content so we can then buy or earn said content in game. Sounds a lot like buying a DLC pack with extra steps (As a comparison to GTA Online they can get 200+ new clothing options, hair styles, multiple vehicles, emotes, weapons, walking styles and tattoos immediately available to purchase or are free such as emotes and walking styles)
•There was a period after a botched update for about 1 to 2 days where the game was utterly broken and couldn't actually be played on consoles, they eventually reverted to a previous patch. People lost hard earned streaks and got no compensation for their screw up unless directly reported on an individual basis.
•There is often rampant hacking with modders even being able to stop themselves from being reported and being able to crash your system or boot you from a session, alongside bad Peer to Peer connection rather than dedicated servers. Hackers have even gotten players banned for tricking people into opening nearby illegitimate spawned treasure chests.
•There are many bugs and glitches that still haven't been patched to this day. Not to mention new bugs that come with new updates. For instance: (Not being rewarded XP & money, gold bar coupons not being rewarded, the infamous hanging gun bug, black screens, crashing, not being rewarded money for sales, NPC's suddenly firing their whole clip at you within less than a second, cloth wraps reverting to a different colour, gun belts floating, UI Errors such as not being able to use coupons or browse the full selection of bar decor and much more)
•Next to no advertising or info about this latest update before it released besides a small paragraph at the end of a social club post about the $5 Sale Of RDO. GTA Online on the other hand getting 3 in-game teases and 2 separate video teasers and a main post introducing a new island to a game that has been around for 7 years and 3 console generations now.
•We now have the daily challenge nerf that not only resets your streak automatically but is also rewarding half as much gold. As an example, with the old system if you did 5 daily challenges a day for 4 weeks you'd end up with 49 gold. If you did the same with the new system you'll get 24 gold. If you were to stay at the same pace and do 5 challenges a day with the new system you'd have to do it for 8 weeks straight or alternatively 10 challenges a day for 4 weeks to earn the same as the old system.
•With this latest update, technically they've added time limited pay-to-win skills/benefits behind an outlaw pass. Standard Ammo Capacity Upgrades, multiple meat cooking and wilderness camp fast travel (Outlaw Pass 5 has also leaked and is in the game files and has further ammo skill upgrades included such as arrows and varmint ammo) That's a slippery slope that could potentially lead to bigger and better things being P2W.
•We have to pay an extra 15 Gold towards the "Prestigious Bounty Hunter License" despite having already bought a license for the role.
This update alongside the standalone sale of RDO is nothing but a way to draw in and nickel & dime new unaware players of thier money. All the new players lured in by a cheap game will most likely know nothing of what the game was previously like. I saw one post of someone on here who bought it and spent £45 on gold bars to get the pass, roles and also advance the pass. And he didn't yet receive his free gold bar benefit tokens back from it. Don't forget that everyone before this had paid upwards of £45 or £89 for the base game or ultimate edition which includes Online benefits.
"It's free content bro, quit complaining" Just because it's technically free does not mean it's exempt from criticism. Especially being a live service game & the way they market and dish out their content. Might as well BE a paid DLC pack.
"You're just entitled gamers who want everything free and easy" At the end of the day it's a game, we play it because we want to have fun or to escape from the realities of day to day life. Not to feel like we're working a minimum wage job to survive. Why would you defend a nerf that makes the game harder not just for veterans but newcomers alike and sucks the general enjoyment out of the experience?
"They need money to give us free content bro" If that's the case, then the online content and live service they're currently providing people is pretty lacking and crap, plain and simple. If anything spending money towards the game in it's current state is only going to encourage them to stick with their new strategy. That being said, not everything they do is terrible. Some changes are good, such as the new $$$ bounties.
At the end of the day, we shouldn't be FORCED into a harder grind experience just to HOPE for some good future content. You can clearly see what title Rockstar & Take Two favor most, GTA Online their cash cow. If the content they put out for RDO was actually decent and bug free there wouldn't be this much uproar from everyone. People might actually be more inclined to buy gold bars if the content was good and consistent. If we're expected to further fund the content online they should at the very least listen and communicate with the community. They're a multi million/billion dollar studio, not a small indie dev team. I'm sure they can afford to produce better content and live services than what's currently available for a AAA experience.
The game is a bit like a slot machine, you can pay little for lesser reward but loose less cash (Grind) or double down for improved reward but bigger loss (Pay for gold) Either way when the wheels stop (Content Update) You're gunna get something, but it doesn't mean it's going to be what you wanted or what you were hoping for no matter what option you choose.

So Android 10 is now out for the Nintendo Switch.

It has better and more consistent internet connectivity
it can stream YouTube videos so long as they aren't higher than 720p. Try to stream in 1080p and the whole OS will crash.
It's great for streaming from music sites and apps, my favorite being Rock Radio.
GTA San Andreas now plays near perfectly. There's no issue with the trigger button, the draw distance is not too shabby, a bit better than it was on the PS2 and it's in HD. The performance is overall pretty decent, and oh yes, the analog sticks actually function as analogs here, giving you the ability to slowly walk as well as run, and aim.
Many other mobile games work well, such as Ridge Racer Slipstream, a now discontinued racing game and honestly still one of my favorites for the mobile market. You'll have to look for a working APK file of it, though, as it is disconinued so it's no longer on the Google Play Store.
Most other mobile games work well, such as Call Of Duty Mobile and several others, even if they don't allow you to use an external controller.
Now on for emulation. N64 emulation is great, able to emulate Conker's Bad Fur Day and Rogue Squardron with little issue. I haven't come across an N64 game that can't be emulated yet with this emulator.
The Dolphin emulator works decently with many games. Some games have issues of course, and you're not going to be emulating Rogue Squadron 2 any time soon on this thing, but games like Robotech and Zelda and stuff, they work well enough.
The GBA emulator can play Duke Nukem Advance pretty flawlessly. No GBA emulator can touch this one on the Switch's own OS with Atmosphere, so it's great that I can play it with an Android emulator on here instead.
With the Drastic emulator, most DS games play pretty flawlessly. The emulator allows you to quickly swap between screen modes and screens with the L3 and R3 buttons. It also has the option to use the right joystick for FPS games, though it's not perfect and I honestly wouldn't fully recommend it.
The Citra emulator performs poorly with most games, but aside from some laggy cutscenes, Ocarina Of Time is at least playable.
Using the PS1 emulator FPSE is not great with some games. The graphics and performance is fine, but issues that I thought were due to a lack of analog stick are still popping up in Android 10, like my character only being able to run in straight lines instead of diagonal, and not being able to use the weapon to your right. I paid for this emulator some years ago and I kinda want my money back.
PSP emulation is fine. GTA Liberty City Stories emulates quite well here, which is a different story with the PPSSPP build for Horizon/Atmosphere.
Dreamcast emulation with Redream works well for the most part. Games like Sonic Adventures 2 work fine enough, but Airforce Delta has sound issues.
Overall, most of the things Android 10 can do, the old Oreo build could do. Some advantages are analog controls, better internet connectivity, access to more modern apps, auto rotation, and deep sleep that sometimes works and sometimes doesn't.
Disadvantages are lack of 1080p support in YouTube when using the Chrome browser, X-Plore not being able to move items from USB to Android, the OS starts its glitching just hours into use, while the old Oreo build could go a few days. Android 10 needs some software Viagra.
Some Android games work better on 10, but some emulated games work better on Oreo.
Battery life is decent though. In hour hour only 25% of the battery gets drained, and that's with emulating the Gamecube.
Is the update really worth it? Only if you are willing to sacrifice long term stability for analog controls and better ineternet connectivity.

CDPROJECTRED’s Adam Kiciński Q&A Transcript.

I believe a link was posted earlier on this sub by a gentleman but here it’s is again with text.
https://www.cdprojekt.com/en/wp-content/uploads-en/2020/10/trancript_en.pdf
Adam Kiciński (AK): Greetings, I’m Adam Kiciński, Joint CEO of CD PROJEKT. Thank you for joining today’s call which concerns the postponement of the Cyberpunk 2077 release date by 3 weeks - until December 10. We would like to briefly explain the reasons behind today’s decision and also answer any questions you may have. First and foremost, on behalf of the whole Board, I would like to offer an apology for breaking our promise and failing your trust. We underestimated the time required for the very final processes. The game is ready for the PC and runs great on the next-gen consoles, and could be shipped on the scheduled date on those platforms. However, even though the game has been certified on the current gens by both Sony and Microsoft, some very final optimization processes for such a massive and complex game require a bit of additional time. Moreover, while we are releasing on the PC and two console brands, we are, in fact, preparing and testing nine distinct versions of the game, for the following platforms: PC Xbox One Xbox One X PS4 PS4 Pro compatible releases on Xbox Series S and Series X PS5 compatible release ...and Stadia. And last but not least, despite all the effort taken to limit the impact of Covid-19 on our work, the current epidemiological situation at this final stage of the project is not making things any easier. We are fully aware of the consequences of this decision, but at the same time, we feel we have an amazing game on our hands and believe that the decision is the right one to take, and will be borne out in the long run. With that, I think we can go ahead with the Q&A session. I am at your full disposal, as are Piotr Nielubowicz, our CFO, and Michał Nowakowski -Member of the Board responsible for our publishing policy. Q1: Good evening. I’ve got 3 questions. My first one – going back to what you said in the middle of June when you last delayed the game – I think you specifically ruled out delaying it again beyond November 19. My question is – why is it different this time; why you’re confident that you can get this game out on December 10. Secondly, you mentioned in your comments that “we have an amazing game on our hands”. Could you provide some feedback that you’ve been getting from testing on how the game plays and we can get comfortable – when we actually get the game out – that it will be an amazing game and the quality will be as high as you expect it to be; some color on that would be very helpful. And thirdly – longer term, you’ve had some issues with getting this game out in the timeframe that you had set; you cited the complexity a number of times. But obviously you’ve got a very big project to come over the next couple of years, to get the multiplayer out – so, how confident are you that that you are going to be able to handle getting mutiplayer out in 2 years? Has your experience with single-player games increased your confidence or decreased it? Thank you very much. AK: Thank you for your questions. Starting with the first one – we are in a very different situation now; as I’ve said, we have the game ready on the PC and it plays great on both next-gen consoles. We’re
finalizing the process on the current gen. To be honest, releasing on the 19th was possible as well, but we believe that having these extra three weeks will enable us to get more things ready to our satisfaction. But we’re talking only about technical things at the very final stage. Our confidence now is even greater than before – we have the game and can play it. I don’t know how best to explain it, but the confidence is there – we’re glad to have more time and believe this is the right move. I know three weeks doesn’t seem like a long period, but it actually doubles our available time starting from the moment the decision was made; this can greatly help us with those technical matters regarding current-gen. I’ll pass the second question to Michał because he has recently been playing the game quite heavily, so perhaps he can share his own opinion too. Michał Nowakowski (MN): This is Michał Nowakowski – I’ll actually not share my own judgment; I’m not impartial, of course, but when it comes to feedback from testing, we have quite a bit of that by now. The feedback is actually quite lengthy and it would take us way too much time to pass it; a lot of it is very technical, we break it down into very minute answers on some points, but one thing has been recurring in all of the test we’ve done. We’ve had people complete the game – for example, just yesterday night we had people complete the game in Japan, and we heard from them – and we keep hearing that it’s unlike anything they had played before. And that comes from the mouths of people who are actually fans of videogames, and I can assume have seen quite a lot. So, that gives us a lot of confidence in the quality of the content we have prepared. It’s of the highest standard and we’re super happy with what we’re about to deliver. AK: And the third question, about future projects – it’s a hard lesson and we know that we have to make certain organizational changes on the technical side of the company, but we believe that we have resources, and – frankly – such a harsh lesson makes us better prepared for future challenges. We take this lesson seriously and we believe that future projects, on the technical side, will be carried out properly. Q1: Could you elaborate a bit about what you mean by “technical issues”? AK: I think we should have had the game playable at earlier stages. With such a big game, too many things may have been put together at a late stage. We should have had more playable builds earlier. Well, what can I add? We’re particularly focused on the content and on delivering the greatest games, but at the same time we believe we can organize the technical side by putting together playable versions earlier than before. Regarding multiplayer – it’s a different project; we actually have initial prototypes and will keep them running throughout the whole course of production. And of course there is one more thing: targeting future releases – probably – just for next-gen will help a lot. We are releasing a game which is, to be honest, a next-gen game, and we’re preparing it for fairly old machines, which poses certain unique challenges that won’t occur in future projects – at least in the next one. Q2: Hi everybody. Still looking forward to visiting Night City. I’ve three questions. One question is to take the opposite tack and ask for assurance from you that you’re confident that this is enough time – because one could worry that – let’s suppose – you needed 7 weeks, which would have implied the game comes out in early January, which, commercially, is not a good time, and it’s the next financial year, so – are you confident this is enough time? Secondly, I’m sure you’ll receive some criticism for the extended crunch – will this relieve any pressure? And does this therefore mean that cash receipts will fall into the next financial year? And finally, have any refunds been requested because of the delay and do you think this could provoke requests for refunds? Thank you. AK: We feel firm. As I said, the game is releasable on the 19th and having those 3 more weeks just gives us more changes to fix this and that – so we feel secure. Of course the decision was not easy, but we also know that the release only happens once. The first impression is crucial, and in the long run
having a few things done which wouldn’t have been done in time for the 19th will work in our favor. We feel – maybe not comfortable [chuckle], but confident and will are releasing on the 10th. Regarding crunch; actually, it’s not that bad – and never was. Of course it’s a story that has been picked up by the media, and some people have been crunching heavily, but a large part of the team is not crunching at all since they have finished their work; it’s mostly about Q&A and engineers, programmers – but it’s not that heavy; of course, it will be extended a bit, but we have feedback from the team; they’re happy about the extra three weeks, so we don’t see any threats regarding crunch. MN: I think the third question was whether the majority of revenues and cash collection would be moved to the next year – they’re actually separate things. When it comes to revenues, I wouldn’t go as far as saying that the majority of revenues would move – but of course we’re going to have less time during the current year, so a significant portion will move. For the cash I’m gonna allow Piotr to speak in a second; I’m just going to talk about refunds (Q2: I mean for people who have decided that December 10 is too long and they can’t stand to wait another three weeks. You can tell I’m not convinced it’s a big problem, but tell me.) – Well, we don’t think it is, to be perfectly honest; we think people will wait for the game. We see people are excited; I can’t imagine huge masses of people cancelling their preorders and collecting their money back. Whether someone’s gonna do it? Well, of course, whenever there is an event like that there’s always someone who’s frustrated and cancels their preorder. Sometimes these people do come back; sometimes they don’t. Of course we’re going to do everything we can by coming up with materials, previews and so on to convince these people to come back if this is the case – but we don’t see that as a mass problem. When it comes to cash, I will hand it over to Piotr. Piotr Nielubowicz (PN): Hello. There will be a couple of sources of cash inflowing into the company. First, installments due to us upon the release of the game. The release will still occur this year, so such installments should land in our bank accounts before the end of December. Next, with physical distribution reporting occurs in quarterly cycles, so regardless of the release date, whether in November or in December, reports will be delivered to us at the beginning of the next year, as will the corresponding payments. In the case of digital distribution, especially on PC, reports are delivered on a monthly basis, so this year we should collect payments for all the preorders generated in November; however December sales will be reported and paid for at the beginning of the next year, so we assume that release sales will shift from the November to the December window. In this case, the revenues will also move to the beginning of the next year. The net result is that the cash flow for the company may be delayed by 1 month, or, in cases where we generate sales via GOG – by 21 days, so it’s not a significant delay in terms of the time that is to be considered. Q3: Thanks and good evening. You mentioned that – not a majority of revenues, but a significant portion – would move to next year. Could you tell us roughly how significant that move is in your view? The second question concerns expenses: how will this impact expenses for the company; particularly marketing, but also any other expenses which are impacted – is there any impact on how you pay your physical distribution partners? And then – I didn’t quite catch the explanations on the different platforms that you just gave regarding revenues in cash moving into January for some of those platforms – could you go over that again please? PN: First of all, I referred to the question of the cash being postponed, not the revenues being postponed until next year. As far as cash is concerned and whether it will be partially postponed until next year in physical distribution, the situation will not change – in both scenarios (November and December release) the situation is that payments of our royalties will happen at the beginning of the next year. In the case of digital distributions, all royalties for PC preorders placed in November should be reported and paid to the company this year, while royalties associated with December sales will be reported and paid at the beginning of the next year. So, this does not change the whole system;
however, release window sales will occur – in the case of digital distribution – in December and not in November; only preorders on the PC will be paid for by the end of the current year – so this is the change I referred to. Secondly, you asked about revenues being moved to 2021. Yes; definitely, the time for the game to exist on the market this year will be shortened by 3 weeks, but we also performed an analysis of sales of The Witcher 3 post-release, and this exercise revealed to us that the vast majority of sales, approximately 90%, happened within the first four weeks following the release, the vast majority of the sales for TW3 in the quarter of release. All key events and circumstances stimulating sales will still occur this year – I’m referring to the release of the game and also the pre-holiday season which should also support sales. Thus, we believe that even though this year’s time window for the game is shorter, revenues may be slightly lower but will still be very much comparable to our initial plan. And what’s even more important – we are not developing the game with the idea of generating only single-quarter revenues. The entire project is designed to result in a game that will continue to sell and generate revenues for years, as in the case of The Witcher 3, The Witcher 2 and even The Witcher 1, which still continues to sell at levels comparable to its release window and provides high value. The same is true for Cyberpunk; obviously the current year is somewhat affected, but the decision to focus on quality should support long-term sales of the game. The second question was about expenses, so – definitely, we’ll need to rethink the marketing campaign and reschedule it a bit to cover the release window in December. Such rescheduling will most probably involve an increase in marketing expenses, but it’s too early to show exactly how the marketing budget will increase. The decision is really fresh and we are working on rescheduling the marketing campaign as we go. Q3: Could I just clarify two things – what happens to the cash flow from the digital console sales; when does that come in? And could I just double-check – you said that for The Witcher 3 90% of the sales came in when you released it, in the first four weeks? PN: We released The Witcher 3 in the middle of the quarter and it enjoyed exactly six weeks of sales before the end of the release quarter. Out of these six weeks, the first four weeks accounted for approximately 90% of total first-quarter sales – that’s what I wanted to say. As far as cash from digital console sales is concerned, it should arrive in our bank accounts at the beginning of the next year. Q4: Thank you and good evening everyone. My first question is: can you disclose anything in terms of the level of preorders for the game, either on PC or somewhere else? Does the delay change anything in terms of your unit expectations? My second question is: given your comments regarding the quality of the game, I’m curious what sort of Metacritic score would you be disappointed with. And my third question: in order to boost sales in December, would you consider offering a bit more aggressive discounts? Is there a risk that the average selling price is a bit lower than what people would imagine? Thank you. AK: I’ll take the first one. We can’t say too much about preorders, but what we can share is that the ratio between preorders of The Witcher 3 at the same stage and preorders of Cyberpunk continues to strongly satisfy. We’re happy with preorders and we’re looking forward to the final stage. The majority of preorders always occurs at the very final stage. Regarding Metacritic expectations – perhaps Michał can cover this, and as for sales – we believe that the 21 day shift shouldn’t change anything; it just moves sales and we really focus on the long-term perspective in terms of sales. This is secured by quality and nothing else matters, so – having better quality and a better initial reaction to the game always works in favor of sales; that’s why we are delaying. As I’ve said – we don’t have to, but we believe that having this extra time gives us a better assurance that everything is as it should be with the game which is coming on the 10th.
MN: So, when it comes to Metacritic, we continuously aim at a 90+ game, so nothing has changed here; this remains the goal and, as Adam mentioned, this is actually the main reason for postponing the release. We want to give the game an extra polish; we’d rather be slightly ashamed right now in front of you than be ashamed in front of the players once the game releases. In terms of average selling price, whether it’s going to be somewhat more aggressive – the answer is no. This was not the plan when we were planning to launch on November 19, and it’s still not the plan for the December 10 launch. We believe we have a premium title that’s coveted by the players and we don’t need to offer any extra incentives – I think everybody who is going to be working on selling this game, in retail and on digital platforms, is going to be happy with what the game can make once it starts selling. Q5: If I could just ask one follow-up: are you going to spend a bit more around advertising and marketing to perhaps cover for the “negative PR” caused by delays or will the marketing budget remain unchanged? MN: There is going to be some extra support in terms of budget, that’s for sure, to account for the changed date; yes. Q6: Good evening; couple of questions. It’s quite rare to get a delay after the gold certification for a game. With a lot of copies sold digitally, does this cause any logistical issues or is it just a question of having a bigger Day 1 patch? And the other question I had was on the changed release schedule for the Stadia version. I understand it has recently been pushed ahead to coincide with the launch on all the other platforms. You mentioned the challenge of launching 9 versions at the same time – so could you explain that decision in light of this delay? Thank you. MN: Just to be sure I understand the first question correctly – is it about whether the delay after gold have something to do with logistical issues? (Q6: No – whether it brings any logistical issues with it). OK, I understand. Yes, it brings certain issues because of course we’re not releasing the stock into retail as was planned, on November 19, but it’s not really a huge challenge – it’s more of a warehousing issue rather than anything else; no transports have been moved from the warehouses and so on. So, there is nothing complex going on in the background – such as making crazy calls, trying to do something about that – it’s really just about keeping the stock in the warehouses. So it is kind of an issue per se, but nothing really complicated or challenging. About the release on Stadia – could you rephrase? You broke up a little bit – I heard up until the point you said that we had moved it to occur on the same date as the regular launch, but I didn’t hear the actual question. Q6: Yes, in the context of what you said about the challenge of launching on 9 platforms at the same time, could you explain the decision to proceed with the Stadia launch a bit earlier? Why not postpone it until after the launch of the other versions to alleviate the strain on Q&A and engineering teams? MN: I understand. Stadia doesn’t really affect the complexity of the issues. The things we’re fixing in terms of performance are on a higher layer than Stadia. Stadia is kind of a PC build which, as Adam mentioned at the very beginning, is pretty much ready; so – it really doesn’t pile up. This is why we’ve been able to move it to coincide with the PC release, but the polish is needed to fix all the bugs and quality issues that we’re still facing, and we see that we can’t fix them by the 19th – that’s the only reason we’re moving the date to December 10. Q7: Good evening and thank you for taking my question. You said that the game is “kind of” ready for the next-gen consoles and the PC, and the issue concerns the current generation. Can you say whether you had considered splitting the launch into next-gen/current-gen? And the other question is: can you confirm whether it’s just about optimizing the game so that it runs efficiently on the current generation – or are there also glitches that need to be taken care of during the last three weeks before the launch?
MN: I’ll start with the release date: we have not considered splitting the release; we’re big believers in serving everything at the same time. It’s much more reasonable from the perspective of how the team operates and it’s also convenient from the marketing perspective. So the answer here is no. You also mentioned that the game is prepared for next-gen. I would instead say that it’s ready to be played on next-gen – that’s an important distinction because our true next-gen version is going to come later. But yes; the game can be played and I just wanted to make sure that’s not misunderstood. Now, about optimization and so on – games of such complexity and magnitude always have some bugs upon release. This is understood; it’s commonplace – anybody who has played any game out there, like GTA, RDR, The Witcher 3 – any of the big games – knows there are bound to be some bugs. It’s more about the scale and the quantity of these bugs, and it’s really the only issue we’re facing – so of course we’re going to continue improving and working on the game once it launches, as was the case with The Witcher 3 – as everybody knows – but when it comes to the launch moment, we want people to not be pestered by something that is going to be truly problematic for them; we want them to avoid those kinds of situations; we want them to enjoy their arrival in Night City – so, coming back to your question, yes, it’s basically optimization and all the challenges related to that. There’s no other “hidden story” here. Q8: Good afternoon. I just want to ask three questions. Do you have to pay any contractual fees due to delaying so close to launch – to distributors or marketing partners? The second question is about preorders: I wonder what happens to preorders in case of a delay. Are they automatically cancelled in some stores; are you aware of any channels that cancel preorders due to a delay? And the third question: you said that the ratio between preorders for Cyberpunk and The Witcher 3 is very satisfactory; I wonder if this justifies the threefold increase in the marketing campaign which you said was the case with Cyberpunk. MN: OK, I can take the first two. Regarding contractual fees – there’s no penalty in our contracts that we would be facing from any of our partners. The delay is really not that big; it’s three weeks – of course it’s going to impact the amount of time we’ll have to actively sell the game during this calendar year; that’s pretty obvious, but it really doesn’t change expectations towards the game – it’s still out there to be played, so, no. Not only are there no contractual penalties, but no one is demanding any kind of penalties. In terms of preorders being cancelled – this is highly specific to every channel; it depends on the channel’s policy. We don’t really control particular retailers or their policies; however, I know for a fact that there’s no retailer that would cancel all preorders automatically. Some retailers may offer the ability to cancel preorders until the moment of launch, but, frankly speaking, this is something you can typically do with a preorder even in the absence of a delay – if you wanted to cancel a preorder of our game on Amazon yesterday, before we released the news, you could have done it without any hassle whatsoever. So, this is something of a typical practice; you can cancel preorders at any moment in time before the game actually launches and ships. Nothing has changed in regard to that. Yes, there may be some people who would actually cancel preorders right now, because they’re tired, but I still think we can win those people back. I’ll hand over the third question to Adam. AK: The simple answer is – yes. All the data we have, both internal and external, justifies the scope of the marketing campaign, and perhaps we don’t sound very happy today, because – you know – it’s a tough decision, but on the other hand, we’re sure we have something really amazing on our hands and we truly believe that once the game is released, everyone will understand how difficult it was and how great the game is, and then all those bitter pills we had to swallow on the way will seem like a small thing compared to the satisfaction that we’ll enjoy. So – don’t get us wrong, we of course a little stressed internally; we would have preferred to release on the 19th, but on the other hand we feel very strongly about the game. Q9: Good evening everyone. My question relates to the momentum of console sales that may play a bigger role this time around. Do you think that the recent deterioration in economic outlook due to
the pandemic may have affected potential sales – with people perhaps less incentivized to buy as early as November, and maybe moving the date closer to Christmas would optimize potential sales? PN: It’s hard to reliably estimate the influence of the pandemic upon sales. We know from our experience in March and April that it offered something of a tailwind for the videogame industry – videogames were among the limited number of entertainment forms that people could enjoy at home, and this particularly boosted digital sales. So, if the situation repeats at the end of the current year, it might offer some support for the game, but I don’t think it hinges upon whether the release takes place in November or December. In any case, the course of the pandemic is not where we look for sales support in the case of Cyberpunk. Q10: Hi, just one question: some people would have thought three weeks before release is quite late for a delay, but as we work towards the new December 10 date – when do you really need to make a final decision that everything would be ready for that date? When do you believe it’s physically too late to delay a game further? Is it two weeks before, one week before...? When can we get comfortable that the game is definitely coming out? MN: We’re not really analyzing it this way because, to be honest, we don’t see such a thing happening. I do realize you’ve actually heard this from us before, but this is pretty close to the launch and – as we’ve mentioned several times – the game is ready; it’s there; you can actually walk through the whole game and a number of people around the world who were given access to the game, have done it. We need to be sure about the performance and that the glitches are gone, so – there is no such analysis at all; we just haven’t thought about that. Q10: Okay, so – basically – we can be comfortable now that the game is definitely coming out on December 10, is that what you’re saying? MN: That’s more or less what I’m saying, I guess – yes. Q11: Hello again. A couple of questions. One was just to clear up the next-gen point. As I understand it, the game will come out on the 10th, playable on, say, PS5, but the actual optimized next-gen version is still scheduled for the first quarter of the next year for both Xbox and PS5. The second question is: does this have a knock-on effect on DLCs? I guess large parts of the studio can be working on those, but still – the engineering and the Q&A guys will be very busy, and for longer than you had ever expected – so does this potentially affect the timing of DLCs, of which we can expect at least three – correct me on that. Thank you. AK: So, with next-gen: what we are releasing now is the current-gen version, which can be played on next-gen consoles thanks to backward compatibility, but without next-gen-specific features. Being strong machines, next-gen consoles are comparable to very strong PCs – they have more memory, much faster hard drive access and so on and so forth. So – the console version played on next-gen looks great; instantly. Next year we will be releasing a full-blown next-gen version – perhaps not optimized for next-gen, but with next-gen features implemented. It won’t be – like the current version – merely an emulation of the current gen. Regarding expansions – we expect no impact. Fortunately, those who are finishing the game and are now involved in those final processes, are not required at this stage of development of the expansions. We don’t expect that this will influence our further schedules. Q12: Hello. You mentioned that the problem was with the current-gen consoles. Is the problem different for Xbox and PS4, the latter of which is perhaps a bit stronger – or is it very similar for both consoles?
MN: Hi; Michał Nowakowski again. I wouldn’t say there is a “problem” because there’s nothing wrong with Xbox or PS4 versions – there is optimization to be handled, also because of how we were approaching things from the get-go in terms of development; so – there is no problem with Xbox or PlayStation 4, to be honest. Now, in terms of issues – I don’t think there’s much point in going there. Yes, there are some issues that are similar – I’m not going to go through a full bug report here; that’s probably pointless – but let’s put it like this: there are some issues which are common to both platforms and some issues which are slightly different; it’s a mixed bag, really. It’s something that can be handled, can be done and something that we’re currently working on. It’s a huge game, so there are a lot of things to be tackled – which is the underlying reason behind the conversation we’re having tonight. Q12: My question was related to the rumors form one year ago, I believe, which said that there were some problems with optimization for Xbox, but as I understand – this is not related? MN: This was a total hoax; a fake rumor. That I can say; otherwise – there’s just regular work to be done on both platforms. AK: And I’d like to add one more thing: having the game certified means it’s optimized and it works, but it’s a big game and what we’re going to do in those next couple of weeks is to make it as good as it can be on the current generation – so we’re trying to bump everything as much as possible. Moderator: Thank you; this concludes today’s Q&A session. Mr. Kiciński, I will hand it over to you for any closing remarks. AK: Thank you everybody; tomorrow we are available to take any follow-up questions you may have. Please contact our IR team directly via e-mail or phone. Thank you very much and tune in to our Q3 results. Bye bye!

CYBERPUNK 2077 FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS/NOOB GUIDE (No spoilers!)

I'm bored at work so I thought I'd put together a list of the things that keep being asked, and tips that may be helpful for new players, because it's easy to be spoiled accidentally when searching for info.
I have 120 hours in the game but there's still a lot I haven't seen, so I'll be happy to make any corrections or edit in others' perspectives. If it ends up being helpful maybe a mod will pin it.
IS THIS THE GAME FOR YOU?
It very much depends on your interests. If you go into this thinking it's Skyrim or GTA it is not those games. Those games are very wide and pretty shallow. This game is very deep, but more linear. It is much more like The Witcher or Mass Effect or The Outer Worlds. There are cops and exploration, but it's all in service to the core story. You can make choices and there are many endings, but you can't control everything that happens or kill/save everyone. As long as you take the game for what it is and don't try to force it to be a totally different game, it's fantastic.
SHOULD YOU PLAY IT NOW?
As far as glitches/bugs, they exist and they are being fixed as we speak. I have a 9900k/3080 so my experience isn't representative, but I only had a few occasional visual glitches (clipping etc), nothing major or game breaking.
For other systems, people seem to have different experiences (or maybe different tolerances) even when they have the same system. People on all systems have played it and enjoyed it. Others haven't. From what I've gathered around here, Xbox seems to do better than Playstation, newer XBox systems doing better than older ones. For Playstation, apparently PS5 crashes every few hours, but reloads quickly, so some people hate that and some accept it, while PS4 doesn't crash as much but has more graphical issues. The recent hotfix seems to have mostly improved things for people. They've released two hotfixes so far and the next big update should be in a few weeks.
Beyond that, I can't tell you what's acceptable for you and what isn't. But I can tell you that this is one of the best games I have ever played, even with the glitches.
READ THIS!!!! - SAVING THE GAME
This is VERY IMPORTANT!!! In the game you can quicksave or manual save, and it will also autosave for you. The quicksaves and autosaves get overwritten-- it only saves a handful at a time. This works great for in the game, you never have to go back too far to replay something. But if you want to create a new character or replay a pivotal moment MAKE SURE TO DO A MANUAL SAVE. Those are permanent. There is no way to load an old character once the quicksaves for it get overwritten, unless you have a manual save. A new character WILL overwrite the old character's quicksaves.
LIFEPATHS
Lifepaths add color to the story but beyond that don't stress about which to pick. Just pick the one that sounds best for your character.
EXPLORING THE WORLD
There are fast travel points everywhere but half the beauty of this game is just driving and walking around. You'll stumble across a lot of great moments and even side missions that you wouldn't find otherwise. Explore.
ACTS 1, 2, and 3?
They call the story sections Acts but that's misleading because it's really a prologue, then the bulk of the game, and then the conclusion. In Act 1 you are limited to a small part of the map as you learn the game. In Act 2 all the side missions and everything totally open to you. Then there is a point of no return and everything wraps up. I don't remember ever even seeing an Act 3 screen.
HOW FAR AM I INTO THE GAME?
The main quests within Act 2 basically form 3 branches. You can do the branches in any order, or mix them together, so it's really impossible to say how far you are. You may have finished one branch and not even started the other two, or you may be a little into all of them. And each main quest opens up additional side quests, so the game keeps growing as you play.
WHEN DO I KNOW IT'S ABOUT TO END?
No story spoilers at all, just info on how to know when you're almost done, which some people may not want to see
Eventually all of the 3 main branches finish, and the game will tell you to go to a place, and when you get there it will let you know that if you go inside then that is the point of no return. At that point it's up to you if you want to go inside or not. Even after the point of no return the game has quite a bit of content, but you can no longer do side missions, etc.
CAN I KEEP PLAYING AFTER I FINISH THE GAME?
No story spoilers at all, just info on what happens after, which some people may not want to see
After the game ends and the credits roll, it gives you the option to go back to just before the point of no return and redo the ending or go back to doing side missions. It's not part of the story to go back, it's just an option for the player. As of now there is no New Game+ mode or option to continue playing post-finale otherwise.
WHEN SHOULD I DO SIDE QUESTS?
Totally up to you. I tend to do them on breaks between main missions, because the characters will usually give you an excuse like "I'm going to get the plan together, I'll see you after sunset". The map also tells you the difficulty of the missions so I wait until they're not too hard and do them before they get too easy.
CAN MISSIONS GET LOCKED OUT IF I WAIT TOO LONG?
As far as I have seen, there is only one smaller side mission where time is a factor, and no missions lock out any others based on the order you play them.
WHICH SIDE MISSIONS SHOULD I DO?
They really are all unique and worthwhile, but if it comes via a main quest and involves a character you've already met in the game then absolutely do not skip them. Those quests are some of the best storytelling in the game.
There is a difference between side missions and gigs, even though they are both yellow markers. Gigs are still great, but they are less important to the overall story. So if you don't have time to do a completionist run, or if you are enjoying the game and want to keep some things fresh for a second playthrough, then Gigs (and the blue NCPD missions) would be the ones to skip.
That said, even tasks that seem like they will be tedious end up being fantastic. Go chase down those cars, it'll pay off. Beep beep, motherfucker.
Also, during missions you'll get text messages and find shards... read them! They add backstory and context (and I normally hate codex type things).
I DON'T HAVE THE SKILLS TO COMPLETE A MISSION?
If there is a skill check on a mission, there will almost always be some other way to complete that mission. For instance you might not be able to open that door but you can probably climb to the roof or find an open vent. Look around.
HOW DO MY CHOICES AFFECT THE GAME?
There are choices and consequences in this game, but they are mostly handled organically so you may not even realize you made a choice. Dialogue affects things, as do the actions you take during missions. They don't throw it in your face or have an option to like Press B to save so-and-so. That said, this isn't a game where you can just go kill off a main character for the hell of it. The story comes first.
WHO CAN I ROMANCE AND HOW?
If you want to know who you can romance:
Vs with a male body type and male voice can romance Kerry
Vs with a male body type can romance Panam, regardless of voice
Vs with a female body type and voice can romance Judy
Vs with a female body type can romance River, regardless of voice
Which genitals you choose don't affect any of them
Anyone can sleep with Meredith if you make the right story choices, but I wouldn't call it a romance
There are joytoys around the city that you can pay to sleep with
Yes you can romance multiple people during the game, as long as the body/voice requirements are met, even if you already are in a relationship with someone else
Also of note, even if you don't romance one of the main characters, the platonic relationships are almost as in-depth as the romances.
For how to find the romances: You meet Judyand Panamas part of the main missions-- Judy is part of Evelyn's branch, and Panam is part of Rogue's branch. River you meet starting with the sidequest where Elizabeth Peralez calls and asks you for help. Kerry you meet toward the very the end of the game, if you do the sidequests that start with Johnny telling you he needs you to do one last thing before the point of no return.
As far as specifics in how to romance someone, that's too much for this post, but they don't try to trick you or anything. As long as you generally go along with the person's best interests you'll be fine.
BUILD/PLAY-STYLE
One of the great things about this game is that the play-style possibilities are endless. You can play as a stealth assassin or go in guns-blazing or wield swords/blades or be a hacker or pound people with your fists or blow shit up. You can parkour up to the roof or sneak in a window or break down the front door.
Skills, weapons, and cars all start out feeling not that great, because your character isn't meant to be great at using them yet. As your V improves, everything gets better and has more options, and everything gets more fun. Weapons and play-styles all end up super effective so it's completely up to how you want to play.
For starting out, pick the play-style that sounds the most fun and choose the related attributes in the character builder. You'll lose those attribute points if you don't use them so definitely do.
ATTRIBUTES
Attributes are your base stats: Body, Reflexes, Intelligence, Technical Ability, Cool (more on what's what in the Skills section)
YOU CANNOT EVER CHANGE ATTRIBUTE POINTS ONCE THEY ARE ALLOCATED. So after the initial character creator, I would suggest hanging onto the new attribute points you earn until you play around and decide which play-style you prefer.
You can also hoard your attribute points until you specifically need them -- there are attribute requirements for some dialogue and to open doors, etc, and you can almost always apply them right then and there to meet the requirement.
I am not a min-maxer by any means, so I don't have much insight into advanced builds, but according to others' math, if you max out the game you'll end up with enough attribute points to max out 3 of the 5 attributes, but only if you focus almost entirely on those 3.
SKILLS
Under each attribute there are 2-3 skills. For instance, the Body attribute has athletics (health), annihilation (shotguns/SMGs) and street brawler (fists/blunt weapons). Reflexes is pistols/rifles/blades. Intelligence is hacking (quickhacks/daemons). Technical Ability is crafting/grenades. Cool is stealth/cold blood (I don't fully understand cold blood yet).
Each attribute point you put in applies to all the skills under it. So it's useful to match up "sibling" skills to maximize your attribute points. In other words, pairing Handguns with Blades makes more since than pairing Shotguns with Blades, since you improve both Blades and Handguns by adding points to Reflexes, while Shotguns need points in Body. (Unless you were planning on building both Body and Reflexes).
PERKS
Perks are the unique abilities/stat boosts for each skill, and each requires you to have a specific number of attribute points before you can choose it. To earn new perks, you just play the game-- i.e. if you hack enough stuff you'll get a perk point. But once you have it, that perk point can apply to ANY skill under ANY attribute. So you can hack over and over and use those points to build up your rifle perks.
Unlike Attributes, the perks you choose can be changed, but it costs $100k to do so, which is a lot of money until the end of the game (more than most cars).
All of this is confusing to describe, but it makes sense when you play and it's a great system because it gives you a lot of flexibility.
CYBERWARE
Cyberware can be applied to many different body parts, and each do different things. You can add carry weight or bump up stats or improve resistances to various dangers. The most important ones IMO, are your OS, your legs, and your arms.
Your arms turn you into a weapon -- the options are gorilla arms (power fists), projectile launchers (rockets), monowire (a sort of whip), and mantis blades (blades, duh). They are each very unique to play with and add a lot to the game. My favorite are the gorilla arms but most peoples' favorite seems to be the mantis blades. FYI, the launchers are either tricky or bugged (or I just suck). I killed myself often by shooting them near walls and back at me.
Your legs can be either double jump or power jump. These really open up the map and combat options by letting you move and explore vertically. Apparently there is also a hover option, but it requires not punching someone who is very punchable, so I have never gotten it.
Your OS can be either for hacking, or to slow time, or for beserk mode that helps with melee.
Like weapons, most cyberware has different versions of quality, up to Legendary which is the best. The better versions give you more options or more mod slots or better abilities.
Cyberware and mods can either be bought from Ripperdocs or looted throughout the game. If you find some Cyberware as loot you take it to the Ripperdoc and they install it.
Some people find a mod for cyberware before they get the cyberware itself, and so get confused why they can't add it. Check if it's just a mod.
It can also be a little confusing to add additional cyberware to a body part that already has some-- to do this first select the empty box, then select the cyberware you want to add. Otherwise it tends to just add it to the first box and remove whatever's there already. Also, cyberware cannot stack -- for instance if you have shoulder cyberware to add 90 armor and then later get one that adds 120 armor, it will replace it not add to it.
Cyberware mods you can add at anytime in your inventory once you have the cyberware itself.
WEAPONS AND UPGRADES
Weapons can be upgraded in a few ways.
You can install add-ons like scopes and silencers, which are removable and can be moved between weapons.
You can add mods like damage upgrades, which are permanent and stay with the weapon (tho there is a perk that lets you get them back).
There is a quality level that you can upgrade through crafting -- Common, Uncommon, Rare, Legendary.
Additionally there are Iconic weapons. These are one-off unique weapons that you usually get during missions. They have special abilities attached. The quality levels apply like any other weapon, so they can be upgraded. This means it's best to keep these and not sell them-- even if they start to get comparatively weak you can still upgrade them.
There are 3 main types of weapons-- Power, Smart and Tech. Power you can add cyberware to have it richochet off surfaces and change direction. Smart you can add cyberware so it targets enemies. Tech you can hold down the trigger to charge them and then it sends a more powerful shot that can go through walls. In other words, all 3 provide different ways to get at enemies behind cover or before you even enter a building. It's just up to your play-style. All 3 types are affected by the relevant Body and Reflex skills. Tech weapons are also helped by the Tech skills.
LETHALITY
I believe (not 100% because I haven't tried) that it is possible to completely play this game without killing anyone. Weapons, hacks and takedowns can all be non-lethal. Hacks and takedowns are labeled whether they are lethal or not. Blunt weapons and fists are always non-lethal. Guns are usually lethal but can be modded to not be. There is also a cyberware optics mod that makes you non-lethal altogether.
It is good to have at least one good non-lethal option because there are quite a few missions that reward you for not killing anyone.
STORAGE
Your apartment has a stash to store things. A lot of people don't realize that you can also access that stash via your vehicle's trunk/boot. So no point in carrying around a heavy load of iconic weapons when you can just stash them away until needed. As the game progresses some missions give you additional places to live and those places also have access to your stash.
HACKING
There are two types of hacking: Quickhacks and Daemons. Different hacks for each can be looted or bought from stores, and Daemons can also be added as perks. Both types require a hacking-type cyberware OS, and better versions give you more RAM and a bigger buffer.
Quickhacks use the RAM. Think spells/magicka.
Daemons are the mini-game and use the buffer. The minigame can be confusing. Basically each buffer gives you a box, and each box can hold one set of digits. So if the game says to reproduce [E9] [1C] [BD] and you have 4 boxes, then you have one extra box to complete the sequence. Meaning if you don't have a route that starts with [E9], you can still go [55] > [E9] > [1C] > [BD] and it will work. For daemons with more than one sequence option, you can combine them to solve more than one at the same time. For instance if there you are supposed to solve [55] [E9] [1C] and [E9] [1C] [BD] then you can do that same [55] > [E9] > [1C] > [BD] route and it will solve both sequences. This sounds really confusing so maybe look at the mini game while you read that lol.
CARS
Cars can be expensive. You'll get quite a few free ones as mission rewards, plus they can always be stolen, so unless you really fall in love with a car for sale I would wait to buy until you're loaded in cash. There's no way to test drive so save before buying.
That's all for now. If you have any questions/comments/additions post below and I'll be happy to address them.

After 8d 4h and 52m of in game time, I can say I've given Cyberpunk 2077 a fair chance...

MAJOR SPOILERS

This is a huge post with a lot of personal stuff, I appreciate everyone who reads it all, but if you don't want, feel free to skip, but then please also don't comment since it's all connected.

I've finally completed the game with all it's side content and all the endings (I skipped the Rogue ending because it honestly didn't really catch my interest and I just want to be done with the game). What follows is MY OWN opinion, I'm not trying to sway people, this is just how I feel about this game and the whole situation and if this were any other game I'd probably have forgotten it by now and be playing the next game but as it is, this game is bigger than that and this post is my goodbye, my way to put down my thoughts and move on.

My biggest issue with the situation...

...is that all the focus seems to be on the damned bugs and glitches, completely covering up all the misleading marketing and basline features that are not present and worst of all, CDPR using this to cover their asses as seen in the investor call protocoll: https://www.cdprojekt.com/en/wp-content/uploads-en/2020/12/call-transcript_en.pdf. Apparently trust was lost solely due to bad performance and bugs and not the fact that you could fit the entire milky way in the gap between what marketing showed and what the game actually is and we were fed lies until the very last moment before release.

Personal shit

Before I get into it further, some information about me to understand where I come from, I'm a 28 years old guy that has fallen in love with games when I was very young. The first game I've ever played was some Formula 1 game on an MS-DOS. I've always been fascinated with games, how fun they were, the stories they told, the graphics, everything. Later came the gameboy, Pokemon and somewhere along the lines, my own pc that came with a copy of Age of Empires 2. I've really played all kinds of games and I've played many of them, too many probably, but what can you do, I just love them. I've learned early on that high expectaions with games and dreaming about them will only lead to disappointment because technical limitations, time and money. So I've really stopped expecting much of games, never dared expect they'll be what I envisioned.
About 20 years later I've really achieved my gaming dream. I work as a software developer which brings a lot of cool insights when it comes to gaming and a good understanding of what happens BTS. But my job also means a good salary and the possibilty to own a gaming setup I've always dreamed of. Being able to play on a 4k OLED tv, with a 7.1 dolby atmos sound system and a pc that cost more than I dare to mention I'm absolutely happy with what I built up over all these years and it's fair to say I can experience games in possibly the best way possible from image quality, graphics settings, comfort and audio.
So yes, gaming is a huge part of my life, it's my biggest passion for many reasons. I'm a creative person, visually but also in other ways. I produce my own music, I'm a hobby photographer, I create digital art of various nature. I'm also a lover of everything beautiful, nature, colors, people, stories, emotions. It all comes together in games. They interest me for their visuals, worlds, beauty, audio, music, people and personality, the stories, the cinematography and so much more. With all this I also have aquired a good sense for these things and can appreciate really good work in all those areas.
2020 was also the hardest year I've had in my life. Corona, homeoffice, failed love, a shit job with people I didn't get along with and most of all, depression. I fought through it, it was hard, there was a moment where I was really close to off myself, then I found a new job with great people, Cyberpunk was on the horizon, all seemed to go well again. Cyberpunk was always in the back of my head, really been looking forward to it, I didn't mind the delays, they killed some hype which as good to lower expectations and I had a good feeling CDPR would deliver what they showed in the marketing footage because they really seemed to be taking their time to deliver the perfect launch for a game that would set a new standard.

Verdict

With all that said I fell I can judge the game for what it is pretty well. Again this is my opinion and I've played this game for this long to really see all it has to offer so I can judge it fairly.
The Main Story
The story never really got to me, it was all over the place and felt very rushed, cut short and even the best moments only lastet for a short amount of time. Nothing ever let me sink into it apart from a few exceptions. I didn't hate the story, but it was nothing I would recommend getting the game for. Connecting to Johnny was one good aspect, it happened slowly over the course of the game and even with Keanu's rather monotone style, I though it kind fit, it gave Johnny some life and yeah, it really had its moments. However I had rather spent that time with a different character, I liked Keanus performance and Johnny as a character but there were more interesting characters that I could've actually interacted with, that weren't just in my head. But be that as it may, the story didn't blow me away, there were no interesting twists or turns, nothing really that stuck out.
The endings were its strongest moments. I chose the Arasaka ending first, it was cool, I felt bad at the same time. Waking up in the orbital station was a surprise, the whole testing sequence was really cool, it really made me feel like I was there. The first ending there I chose was to upload my mind, I did that in hopes that this would happen later, so you could see your loved ones again (Judy, in my case) and it would eventually end in one emotional moment. Sadly, that happened right away and the messages at the credits made me realise I disappointed everyone. So quickly I reloaded just before that and this time decided to grab my stuff and head to earth in hopes this would somehow give me a chance with my loved ones, unfortunately, no difference in the end result.
So I googled which ending was with Judy, saw it was Panam's which was the one I had next on my list anyway, I played that, enjoyed it, it had some good moments. Sauls death was brutal but the moment was cut short, even Panam forgot 5 seconds later. Smashed Smasher again, then chose to die 6 months later rather then letting Johnny live, sorry Johnny, but I had to see Judy again. More stuff happened and I was beginning to think I did something wrong. Then, out in the Badlands, Panam had a surprise waiting for me, there she was, my favourite character. It was a beautiful moment, it was emotional, but I felt even though I romanced Judy, Panam was still in focus, Judy should've sat next to me on the tank. Anyway, the credits rolled and that was by far the most beautiful ending, after having seen Judy down and crying, seeing here there, smiling, saying she was truly happy, that really warmed my heart. I know, I know, it's just a game jeez, but I'm a very empathetic and emotional person and I really like to just let go and let the story take me in. Judy is not real, but I made it feel real by imagining it was real and it makes it real...for a moment.
The last ending I tried, was the one I could relate to the most. Suicide. And man, I'm glad I didn't do this to the people in my life. First seeing V and Johnny just sit there, having decided it ends there, then the credits...ouch
But yeah, really only the ending got to me. I did like most characters, Takemura I really liked, reminded me a lot of Hanzo from Overwatch somehow, who I also like. But Judy's character was the only one that I could really, REALLY relate and connect with...no, not because I thought she was pretty, just her personality, her story and because she showed the most emotions.
The main story and side stories were clearly the main selling points, but for that, they weren't convincing enough. I felt more when I was forced to kill my friend in Battlefield 3. And I could really feel that no way to make any changes to the story, all 100% scripted, that felt bad and the first time I noticed were the chases where you have no impact, everyone only died when they had to. CDPR had everything to make a story that would make anyone cry. Force the played to make hard decisions, sacrifices, these things make great stories. I never felt like wanting to know how it would continue, the main story was just that thing that ended the game before I had seen everything, so I put it off for as long as I could.
The Side Stories
I loved Judys store the most, Panams was great too and Kerrys was cool as well. River I didn't really care for much, though the story was also pretty good.
I loved some parts, others not so much.
The Side Content
This one was pretty boring. Some were cool. The Cyberpsycho stuff was one of the better ones, but most of it was rather dull, copy past fillers. This was also made worse by literlly marking everything on the map, no room for surpise, discovery or any of it.
The Good
I wanted to end on a positive note and list the good things last, but most of the bad stuff counters the good stuff so chronologically it made more sense to put the bad stuff at the end.
The Bad
I'll start with the bad because I want to end this post on a positive note. This is a good video that sums up and actually shows most if not all of my pain points. It's also pretty enternatining, I recommend watching it.

Final Words

Sorry for the long post, had to get it in writing, even if no one will read this, for those that did, thank you!
In conclusion, I have no idea what CDPR did all this time, I suppose the delays were because the marketing trailers weren't finished rendering. I couldn't honestly recommend this game to people I know. Or at least I'd let them know to not expect great things, it's pretty, fun at times and has some good story elements, it looks next gen, but it's before last gen when it comes to core game elements. It was THE let down of the year and it felt like being promised a racing bike, then being handed a tricycle for the same price. Now you might ask "why did you play it for 8 days then if you didn't like it?" well, good question, I held on, I wanted to see everything it had to offer, I played around with photo mode and other shit a lot, once I realised this will never be the game we were hoping for, no matter how many patches will come out, I knew I just wanted to see everything to get the most out of my money and then be done with it. I will probably never do a second playthrough unless somehow CDPR pulls a No Mans Sky, but I doubt they will. They got the cash, the got the all the attention on the bugs, they fix the bugs, all is well. It was a good reminder though how corps can never be trusted. Never, only money can be trusted.

List Of Working Glitches! [Mod Post]

This is the Working Glitches Thread! This is always being improved, and if you have any recommendations please let me know in the comments or send me a direct message. If you know a glitch is working on any other platform I haven't included or doesn't work anymore, also let us know. If a platform is in italics, it means it is unsure. Strikethrough means it is patched, and no longer works.

Steam Refund - Message Example

Hey, as many seem to have issues getting a refund for this game I want to share my message to the Steam-support with you. Although by no means an extensive write-up as some of you on the sub have done, it managed to get the job done. The overall structure/arguments were inspired by this post (https://www.reddit.com/cyberpunkgame/comments/kcqyva/probably_one_of_the_most_well_written_reviews_fo). Feel free to exchange the examples to your liking as there are plenty to choose from.
The way I reached out to Steam-Support was not by requesting the usual refund. It was by "asking a question about the purchase". For this I opened Steam then clicked on "Help", then "Steam Support", chose Cyberpunk 2077 in my list of recent products, then clicked on "view receipt" and finally clicked on "I have a question about this purchase".
Edit: It worked. I got my money back this way.
The message I wrote was:

Hello,

I am sorry to trouble the person I am writing to now. I was told that if I ask about a refund this way, an actual human will read this.

I as a customer feel tricked by this product. Not only did it not come out as an RPG (but this was known a long time ago -> https://www.gamepressure.com/newsroom/cyberpunk-2077-cd-projekt-red-bets-on-open-world-adventure-not-rp/z8ca4) but by the overall absence of everything.
I know that I have about 19 hours "played" in the game, but I'd rather refer to it as "run time" and not played. Most of my early hours were addressed to fixing the horrible performance issues the game had and in some aspects still(!) has. Every other AAA game released to this date, runs perfectly fine on my computer. Except for Cyberpunk which stuttered all over the board and still causes headache in certain crowded areas of the game world.
Aside from the performance, the overall state of the game is shockingly low. It's glitchy and buggy. Getting stuck in walls, boss encounters cease functioning because they get stuck, NPC companions fall through the floor and enemies with delicious loot glitch into some world-prop. so that their juicy loot is unreachable.

Furthermore, the game contains next to none RPG elements like you would find in a recent RDR2. Dialogue options seem to have no effect on any outcome and the world feels sadly very empty even though there are crowds of people. Even in comparison with a game as old as GTA San-Andreas the entire game feels shallow to the point where the city mostly feels like a glorified loading screen while walking from mission to mission. At this point I don't want to give a write-up of the differences between RDR2 and CP because others are already doing it and have done it to great extend (https://www.reddit.com/reddeadredemption/comments/karhc3/a_comparison_of_red_dead_redemption_2_and/) and it would bloat up this message more than it already will be >.<.

The gunplay is mediocre bullet-sponges in combination with a silly AI with little to no sense of self preservation. Enemies either rush you or stand still for you to shoot them. The police AI is non existent as they spawn right on top of you and as soon as you moved a city block's distance away from the crime scene they already forgot you even exist. Bounties, a wanted system or any kind of search pattern like in GTA? Not here :(

All in all, it pains me to see what CDPR as produced given one of their PR messages from back in 2017 says "CP2007 will be nothing less than TW3 - huge single player, open world, story-driven RPG" (https://www.reddit.com/cyberpunkgame/comments/kchmlc/cd_projekt_talked_too_much/).
Most of the examples were just random posts I picked from the current CP2077 subreddit. If further examples/rants/discussions about the state of the game are needed, please visit https://www.reddit.com/cyberpunkgame/. The game is such a mess in it's core that there will be many more things coming up.

PS: CDPR extended their support for the ease of getting a refund for their product ( Important Update - CD PROJEKT RED )

I almost skipped playing Cyberpunk due to the backlash but I’m really glad I didn’t. 100 hours in, I’m still having a blast thanks to one thing: Night City itself

A word of warning…. I’m about to say some very positive things about a game that's in the middle of a huge rage-storm so I should share some caveats first so I don’t waste anyone's time. If you're only here to commiserate with fellow ragers move along, this isn't for you. In fact. I’m going to totally ignore the topic of technical problems people are seeing right now. How is that possible? Well for one thing, I can’t comment on those problems because believe it or not I just don’t have any of them. I’m playing on a good PC and while I’ve seen the odd physics glitch, I haven’t seen anything worse than the glitches other big games typically have at launch. In fact I’ve actually seen far more bugs in the Xbox One version of Assassin's Creed Valhalla (a game which I love very much in spite of that). I also can’t comment on any problems Cyberpunk might have with graphics fidelity or performance either, for the same reason: I’m just not having any. On my 2080 super Dell it’s one of the prettiest games I’ve seen and runs like a dream at 60fps at 1440p with high settings. To be clear I’m not saying “shut up everybody, the game works great.” I don’t doubt that there are a disgraceful amount of bugs and performance issues right now on last-gen consoles—maybe even enough to justify all the fury. I’m only mentioning that it runs and looks great for me now because I assume that like other high profile but buggy launches, months of updates later it will look and run great for everybody. If it does, then the question “Would I enjoy playing this game?” will be totally relevant again.
Second, I’m not defending anything about the main story quests or Keanu’s less-than-breathtaking acting. I don’t dispute any of that criticism & even agree with most of it.
But the thing is, none of that bugs me or gets in the way of my fun because that’s stuff isn’t what draws me to open world games. I love open world games because I love the freedom and immersion I can feel between the main story quests or even when I’m not questing at all. For example I’ve logged over 1000 hours each in Fallout 4 and FarCry 5 and most of that time was spent ignoring the main quest line, just immersing myself in the world...getting into trouble, exploring, doing side quests, scavenging, making money….you know, just kind of hanging out & immersing myself in ‘living there.’ Since that’s what attracts me to games like this, what matters most to me is how immersive the world is.
I love Night City. As a ‘place’ to escape to and immerse myself in, and I’m finding hanging out inside it to be more addictive than other ‘worlds’ I’ve played in and I’ve been a video game addict since pong. I’ve played literally every major open world game ever made. Most of the reasons I love Nigh City are easy to explain and easy to list. One of them is not. But here is the easy-to-list ...list. In no particular order, here’s are some of the things I love about Night City:
  1. The density--both in the ‘general vibe’ sense as well as the ‘fun stuff is always nearby’ meaning. I’ve lived in Manhattan for years and this game’s take on extrapolating those things into the future feels dead-on correct. Between the dense crowds in the city center to the verticality and imposing architecture, it feels very authentic even in spite of all the ‘cyber’ stuff. In fact the ‘cyber’ setting helps because while I usually turn minimaps off in these games (Vikings didn’t have google maps) it makes total sense that my cyber-eyes would add one to my mental ‘hud’ to help me navigate when I’m exploring all those urban mazes on foot. I do still try to use the main map as little as possible, relying on just running into side quests and what not just by happenstance rather than heading straight for an icon over and over and the density of the map makes my approach totally viable. I never feel like I’m in a boring, empty area with nothing going on.
  2. The side quests! One of my favorite parts of Red Dead Redemption and AC Valhalla are the weird little encounters which (if you aren’t using the maps) feel totally random. I love how they are so varied. Sometimes they’re grotesque, sometimes funny or charming or sweet. This game takes that idea more seriously and elevates them from little easter-eggy things to full blown sidequests. Some are still tiny little moments, but they can scale much larger with full-fledged little stories. The witcher’s side quests were amazing too but for me these have an even more palpable feeling that you never know what it will be until you discover it.
  3. The verticality. Big cities are tall and imposing. The bigger they get, the taller they get. It makes sense to me that an imaginary hyper-huge city would be even moreso, with loads of catwalks, buildings that connect to each other high in the sky, catwalks and elevated sidewalks everywhere, Multiple layers of ‘ground level’ streets, and alleys, etc.
  4. The variety they’ve introduced to the familiar “use stealth or firepower to clear a bandit outpost’ thing. I love them in other games but I like the ones in this game better. I can (and have!) spent countless hours in the Far Crys and Assasin’s Creeds just methodically stealth-killing everyone in every last outpost on the map and. But I have to admit they all feel more or less like the same mission. One might be a cliffside fort, another might have stone walls instead of wood but you know what I mean. It’s fine, but it’s very same-same. This one is different. While some of the “hostile zones” in Night City feel like the familiar “forts” in other games, like a warehouse surrounded by a fuck-off wall for example. But there are loads of other interesting types too all the way down to intimate areas like some gonk’s highrise apartment or a seedy bar or motel. And since I love using stealth for these things I appreciate that there are usually an almost infinite number of ways to sneak in as opposed to “go in front door guns-a-blazing or sneak in through the sole single sneaky entrance that even gets an icon in case you missed it.
  5. Speaking of sneaking around, I also really love the freedom of movement and invisible level design in this city and that’s especially noticeable when I’m exploring via climbing or cyber-leg-jumping. Even virtual worlds as wonderful as the one in Tsushima suddenly turn themselves into Mario in my head when they force me to only ever jump from one birdpoop-covered-ledge to another. Even Assasin’s Creed, famous for it’s “climb everywhere, whether you want to or not!” approach has started adding in platforming puzzles during climbs. But when I’m planning a sneaky way into a junk yard or something in Night City, I feel like I can use any surface I want and whatever route I choose feels like it was my choice as opposed to simply figuring out what the level designer wanted me to “choose.” Whether it’s true or not, when I find a cool sniping spot or way to hop in I often feel like I must be the first person to do it that way. I never feel like that in other games. I just really prefer Night City’s approach and it only gets more fun when you start being able to leap 5 meters feet straight up. Not only that, the jump-climbing mechanic itself--the way it “feels”-- really appeals to me. It feels great to me in a way that no first-person game has done since another one of my all-time favorites, Dying Light.
  6. The subtle environmental story-telling. I love running across little scenes in these types of games that are clearly the aftermath of some event or other like a murder-suicide or something sentimental. Lots of games do it. Fallout is great at this. But for some reason Night City’s approach to them is more interesting to me. But even so, I typically don’t bother to read all those emails, books and notes you find. You’d think someone like me might love reading all doing that but no, they usually take me out of the moment rather than pulling me in further. I’ve never read even one Skyrim book for example. Night City’s versions are different. II don’t know how they did it exactly but I always read the various “cyber notes” in this game. Part of it’s because they’re often very useful but mostly I just want to figure out what the hell happened there and it’s easy to read just the locally-relevant ones & skip all the general ‘leaflets’ or generic lore stuff because they are clearly labeled as such. They also serve as rewards for exploring randomly. I was just driving aimlessly through the surrounding desert badlands at night and I absentmindedly did one one of those loot-revealing pings from the car. I was surprised to see a little blue diamond light up in the sand off the road and went over to investigate. It was a recent car accident. I looted the body and there was a note on the body that explained why it happened. Just a little thing, but there are so many that they add up to help the world feel rich with interesting stuff.
But the main thing I love about Night City is less easy to jot down as a “feature” or bullet point. It’s more of a greater-than-the-sum-of-its-parts thing that feels like the result of multiple teams working together with a shared common goal of raising the bar on the quest to make an open world feel alive -- a place that is living and breathing and not built around you. It doesn’t care that you are in it. I appreciate that a lot.
I’m surprised I like this world so much but it’s not because of all the negative press and reddit fury, it’s because even though I ‘came of age’ while the internet came of age. In the 80s and early 90s I was head-over-heels smitten with stuff like Blade Runner, Neuromancer & Phillip K Dick. I just felt like a game set in a “cyberpunk future” would feel really awkward and a little cheezy from our perspective in 2020. When I saw that the father of cyberpunk himself, William Gibson tweeted “The trailer for Cyberpunk 2077 strikes me as GTA skinned-over with a generic 80s retro-future, but hey, that's just me.” I was right there with him. And then when the backlash happened I was even less likely to try it. But as luck would have it, I recently bought a fancy PC to play VR and I wanted to see how it handled a demanding game like this so I thought what the heck. If it weren’t for that I wouldn’t be having the time of my life knocking around Night City so I wrote this up in case anyone else likes the stuff I do and might be making the mistake I almost made by giving it a pass.
Will you like playing this game once the bugs are fixed? I haven't a clue. But if you read the above and you identify with the sorts of things I like in open worlds, you might want to give this thing a chance.
Now if you'll excuse me, I have a luxury apartment to break into. I need to steel a guitar it seems.

A PC guy's review of the game after 40 Hours of gameplay. [Some Spoilers}

After finishing one of the endings of the game and a hair over 40h in the game with one role (corp), here are my thoughts. There are some spoilers, I wouldn't say anything too major but be warned.
My PC Specs: i9-9900k with RTX 2080
60-95 FPS - high settings - no raytracing - 1440p

Stability, Bugs, and Visual Glitches ON PC:
In 40 hours of gameplay, I have had 2 instances of game-breaking bugs. My game crashed once and in one of the 'Beat on The Brat' side missions, the guy was glitched at times and I could not interact with him to start the fights. After 4-5 save reloads it was fixed. For reference, in Call of Duty Black Ops Cold War with a 10h-12h campaign, my game also crashed a total of 1 time.
As for visual glitches, I had about 1 every hour you could say. from trees stretching onto the ground to mouths not moving while someone is talking. Nothing game-breaking or major to take away from my personal experience with the game and the story.

The Games Story:
I have seen some people upset that the story although great, it wasn't what they expected (1) or there were some missed opportunities (2) and I agree with the latter of those 2 sentiments.
(1) Let's start with what some wished to be the narrative and the ending as suppose to what it is now. I have seen quite a few posts and opinions on various social platforms that people wanted the game to be about the main character, fighting the big corporations and bring them down sine in the story they talk a lot about how big corporations (AKA just Arasaka) has so much control over the city but the story not really being about bringing Arasaka down and rather the main character trying to get his/her life back. Although I see how maybe that type of story would have been interesting, I don't think the current ending is and the narrative is anything short of fantastic.
Most games these days are just like that and they all feel the same. The main character trying to fight the bad guys and sacrificing their family or soul mate to save the world or make some huge difference in it. I don't know take spiderman for example always trying o save the city and its people or Watchdogs legions as a group of private hackers try to save people from oppressive government/military which tried to control people (I won't spoil it any further). For a change, CyberPunk 2077 focuses on the main character. Your job for once in a video game is to make your self happy and fight for your self (save your self from dying due to the biochip taking over) and I think that is a welcome change from all the other video games.
(2) I think the biggest miss opportunity in the game as I think many would agree with is that you don't really get to live the path you choose at the start. Yes you do get some good dialog options throughout the game but I would have loved to play as a Corp for like a couple of missions at the start and feel like I have a lot of power and get used to and attached to that lifestyle and then suddenly lose it as suppose to what currently is in the game that you are no longer a corp basically after the first 5 minutes of the game and I suppose it is a similar story with the other 2 life paths. I think they absolutely should add a couple of missions at the very beginning with each lifepath in a future DLC/Expansion and lets us actually live that lifestyle for a bit if this is gana be a role-playing game.

The good stuff:
Already talked about the story so...
The game is absolutely beautiful. Just walking around the city, looking at everything is surreal in my opinion. The amount of people in the game and their differences is what makes it so amazing to just watch and enjoy. I know people have said 'oh characters repeat themselves a lot and aren't unique' But If I'm not mistaken that is related to graphical settings and hardware limitations. it is much easier to render 1000 people that are all identical than to render 1000 different people. The game would have to load in 1000 different skin colors, clothes, etc... I ran the game at high settings everything without raytracing and never noticed any 2 identical people in 40h. so even if they did repeat themselves somehow, it was so infrequent that I didn't notice and forgot about.

The bad stuff:
already talked about bugs.....
The infamous cops spawning out of nowhere of course which I hope they fix that soon and the AI! I have seen many posts comparing watchdog legion traffic AI to CyberPunk. Ubisoft has been making games longer than CDPR and has made many many more triple-A games than the 2 triple-A titles CDPR has ever made, The Witcher and Cyberpunk. So it is safe to say Ubisoft has more experience in making this stuff. Maybe if CDPR had more time they could have made their AI more sophisticated but you can't try to hold Cyberpunk to the standards of a more experienced developer. But sure we can agree and suggest that, that is a better implementation than what is currently in the game and there can definitely be a couple of more dialog options with NPC's and I really hope they make the AI better over time.

Now the controversial stuff:
I think CDPR as a developer bears partial blame for the disappointment that is this game on last-gen consoles but it's really not something that they could have done much about it and I will explain it in a second.

On PC, we have always had to know our self if our PC or Laptop can run the game we want to purchase the way we want it to run. The way we do that is by looking at the Developer's minimum/recommended specs for the game. And doesn't matter what hardware you have from which year, you can always purchase any game. There is nothing to say 'whoops your hardware can't run this game therefore you can not buy it' so you just kind of have to do your own research.
The console has always been and will continue to be the thing that you just expect it to do what it is supposed to be doing. That's one of the reasons you buy one. So when a game dev releases a game for your console, you just expect it to work as it has been working for every other game for the past 20 years. So I get if in 20 years console players had no idea of the limits of their hardware, they won't magically understand that for cyberpunk in 24h. But just like how a GTX 760 ($250 MSRP) from 2013 can not run cyberpunk 2077 on PC (the Minimum requirements require a GTX 780 ($500 MSRP)) a Console from 2013 wouldn't either. It shouldn't be a surprise that it doesn't run it well. it would have been a surprise if it did.
As per the game's requirements, you need a $500 graphics card which when you build a system around it probably comes to $900 at least with prices in 2013, so to expect the game to run well on a $500 system (xbox/ps4) from the same time which is 400$ cheaper than a minimum system mentioned above, just doesn't make too much sense.

Just like how you can't limit which hardware on PC can buy any game, CDPR couldn't limit only ps4 pro/xbox one x players to buy the game and not the base consoles. It not only is not possible as it is a nightmare to advertise the game and not get people confused but also neither Sony or Microsoft would agree to that, it also doesn't cost CDPR any money to crank the settings down and sell more copies and make more money. And You can always return any game you buy as long as you haven't played it much or it is not past the return window. I have returned 3 games in my lifetime within 10 minutes of purchase after I figured out if my PC can run it or not to my standards and if it is free of bugs and etc. so I think anyone within a couple of hours of gameplay should have been able to make that decision and took action on it. CDPR also has released a statement on refunds on Twitter.

Final thoughts:
I am no developer or expert but I think no matter how much they optimize the game on base consoles it will never be a stable 30fps when it currently dips to 12-15 fps at times. But PS4 pro and xbox one x already run between 24-30 fps and they can definitely in my opinion make that a solid, stable 30 fps with future updates and yall have been playing games at 30 fps for 20 years so there shouldn't be any problem with that.
Bugs, glitches, etc... can and hopefully will be fixed in the coming months (as of right now they have planned two big patches for January and February) and I personally believe the game will age very well with future updates.
I think where the issue is, is that CDPR over-promised and under-delivered due to time constraints which partially people are to blame for as well for being so upset with some strong words every time they delayed the game. Maybe they needed another 6-12 months to work on the game and put out a bug-free, glitch-free, perfect game in late 2021. But I personally prefer having this rather than not having it at all and of course, this is because I have had a great experience with the game. But the game isn't going anywhere and in fact will get better over time with more content and bug fixes so In my opinion it is perfectly fine if you can not play the game now. In 3-6-9-12 months whenever you get a better system or the game is more optimized, you can always jump right in. it is single-player game, so it's not like the whole world is gana be many many moons ahead of you in the game like GTA or something.

And I promise this is gana be my last lecture and rant on-base gen consoles, but hear me out. a PS4/xbox one is going for around $230 on ebay. But, a console from 7 years ago isn't actually worth $230. The price is inflated because new consoles are out of stock and are selling for double MSRP. So had there not have been this shortage, the thing is worth maybe $120. So for the love of god please stop buying any $60 game (not just CP2077), for a base console. You can not be going around spending half of what the console's worth on a game. Save your money, maybe consider selling your console if you don't need it right now while it is worth more than it should, and get a xbox series S for $300 when it's back in stock.
