Authoritarians also dispense largesse, but they do it by their own whims, rather than pursuant to any system or legal rule. The point of authoritarianism is to concentrate power in the ruler, so the world knows that all actions, good and bad, harsh and generous, come from a single source. (The New Yorker)

• Former governor of Illinois Rod Blagojevich, who was convicted of soliciting bribes from candidates to replace Barack Obama in the Senate after Obama was elected president, knew Trump personally from his appearance on The Celebrity Apprentice. Trump falsely claimed that former FBI Director James Comey was involved in Blagojevich's prosecution; Comey did not take over at the FBI until years after the Blagojevich case.
  
  • Illinois' entire GOP congressional delegation—Darin LaHood, John Shimkus, Adam Kinzinger, Rodney Davis, and Mike Bost: "Blagojevich is the face of public corruption in Illinois, and not once has he shown any remorse for his clear and documented record of egregious crimes that undermined the trust placed in him by voters...Blagojevich is the face of public corruption in Illinois, and not once has he shown any remorse for his clear and documented record of egregious crimes that undermined the trust placed in him by voters." • Former San Francisco 49ers team owner Eddie DeBartolo, who was convicted of “failing to report a felony” in 1998 after he paid a $400,000 bribe for a casino license, was pardoned as a result of the lobbying of New England Patriots owner and frequent Mar-a-Lago guest Robert Kraft.
  
• Michael Milken, the so-called junk bond king who was convicted in 1990 of securities and tax fraud, knew Trump personally and frequently spent time with him at Mar-a-Lago. In his first memoir, Trump called Milken “a brilliant guy.” Many of Trump’s inner circle also lobbied for a pardon for Milken, including Rudy Giuliani, Jared Kushner, Steven Mnuchin, and developer friends Howard Lorber and Richard LeFrak. In fact, last year Mnuchin “flew on Mr. Milken’s private jet from Washington to Los Angeles and helped secure a real estate tax break that could benefit Mr. Milken.” A key backer of Milken’s pardon, hedge fund manager (and executive of Wendy’s) Nelson Peltz, held a record-breaking fundraiser for Trump’s re-election campaign at his home just 3 days before Milken was pardoned.
  
  • John K. Carroll: “As one of the lead prosecutors on the Milken case, I am outraged — not at the specific result here but at what the pardon process says about the way justice is served in our country...What outrages me, and what I think should outrage others, is the process that brought about the pardon. In as guileless an admission as I have ever seen of rich man’s justice, the White House bolstered its decision by listing a murderer’s row of Republican donors and billionaires who provided “widespread and long-standing” support for Milken’s pardon. Sheldon Adelson, Tom Barrack, my old boss Giuliani and others are listed as supporters of the pardon. If I had to prove that the scales of justice tilt toward the rich, I would offer that list and then sit down and wait for the jury to convict.”
• Former New York City police commissioner Bernie Kerik, who was convicted in 2009 of lying to federal investigators and committing tax fraud, knew Trump personally and had Fox News correspondent Geraldo Rivera sign a letter on his behalf requesting a pardon from the president. In 2004, Trump called Kerik “a friend of mine” and “a great guy.” Rudy Giuliani also supported the request, as Kerik once served as a senior vice president at Giuliani Partners.

• Paul Pogue, a construction company owner who pleaded guilty to underpaying his taxes by $473,000, did not know Trump and did not have any Fox News personalities lobby on his behalf. Instead, Pogue’s family appears to have purchased a presidential pardon. Pogue’s son and daughter-in-law made over $200,000 in contributions to the Trump Victory Committee last year. The couple also made several large donations to the Republican National Committee and each donated $5,600 to Donald Trump for President Inc.,” according to FEC filings.
  

Roger Stone going to prison

Judge Jackson: “The truth still exists. The truth still matters. Roger Stone's insistence that it doesn't, his belligerence, his pride in his own lies are a threat to our most fundamental institutions, to the very foundation of our democracy...The dismay and the disgust at the attempts by others to defend his actions as just business as usual in our polarized climate should transcend party. The dismay and the disgust with any attempts to interfere with the efforts of prosecutors and members of the judiciary to fulfill their duty should transcend party.
"Sure, the defense is free to say: So what? Who cares? But, I'll say this: Congress cared. The United States Department of Justice and the United States Attorney's Office for the District of Columbia that prosecuted the case and is still prosecuting the case cared. The jurors who served with integrity under difficult circumstances cared. The American people cared. And I care."

"Stone’s Motion for New Trial is directly related to the integrity of a juror. It is alleged that a juror misled the Court regarding her ability to be unbiased and fair and the juror attempted to cover up evidence that would directly contradict her false claims of impartiality," his lawyers argued.
"The premature statement blessing the “integrity of the jury” undermines the appearance of impartiality and presents a strong bias for recusal," they added.

"That juror is so biased and so tainted, that shouldn't happen in our criminal justice system… You have a juror that is obviously tainted. She was an activist against Trump. She said bad things about Trump and bad things about Stone," the President claimed without evidence. "She somehow weaseled her way onto the jury and if that's not a tainted jury then there is no such thing as a tainted jury."

A new boss, Timothy Shea, had just arrived and had told them on his first day that he wanted a more lenient recommendation for Mr. Stone, and he pushed back hard when they objected, according to two people briefed on the dispute. They grew suspicious that Mr. Shea was helping his longtime friend and boss, Attorney General William P. Barr, soften the sentencing request to please the president.
...The tensions between the office, the Justice Department and the White House date back further than the tumult in the Stone case. They have been simmering since at least last summer, when the office’s investigation of Andrew G. McCabe, a former top F.B.I. official whom the president had long targeted, began to fall apart.
Mr. Shea’s predecessor, Jessie K. Liu, a lawyer whom Mr. Trump had appointed to lead the office in 2017, pressed the McCabe case even after one team of prosecutors concluded that they could not win a conviction. After a second team was brought in and also failed to deliver a grand jury indictment, Ms. Liu’s relationship with Mr. Barr grew strained, people close to them said. She left the position this year, though she and Mr. Barr have both stressed to associates that her departure was amicable.

Undoing Mueller’s work

The MAGA punditry’s outsized influence over the president means their campaign against the so-called Mueller “holdovers” is likely not falling on deaf ears, especially given Trump’s fixation with what his defenders and detractors are saying about his administration in their frequent appearances on his favorite TV programs.
“It's totally unclear to me why any members of the Mueller team need to remain in the Trump DOJ,” the pro-Trump conservative blogger Will Chamberlain wrote after news broke of the Stone sentencing recommendation.
...GOP operative Arthur Schwartz, a close friend of Donald Trump Jr. who has been described as the eldest son’s “fixer,” said of the career officials in question: “I think they should all be investigated.”
...John Dowd, a former Trump lawyer who remains in touch with the White House, characterized the line attorneys in the Stone case as “insubordinate,” and “the same crowd of prosecutors wedded to the Mueller agenda” who need to be “cleaned out” from DOJ. “And Bill Barr is doing that,” Dowd said.

Public charge rule takes effect

The justice wrote that granting emergency applications often upends "the normal appellate process" while "putting a thumb on the scale in favor of the party that won." Targeting her conservative colleagues, she said "most troublingly, the Court's recent behavior" has benefited "one litigant over all others."
"Claiming one emergency after another, the Government has recently sought stays in an unprecedented number of cases," Sotomayor said. "It is hard to say what is more troubling," she said, pointing to the case at hand, "that the Government would seek this extraordinary relief seemingly as a matter of course, or that the Court would grant it." • Sometime later Tryphon Leo finds the book and decides to go hunting for treasure at the Shrove of the Left-Handed God Typhojem. In Legends Typhojem was a deity worshipped by the ancient Sith during the 100 Year Darkness.
• The Shrove contained other treasure including Quesoth (Legends species from Zahn) pottery shards that dated back to the "Neo-Middle Secundus"
• Dex next found the book on Pashvi (Legends planet mentioned in Outbound Flight). he then headed to Athus Klee in the Stellar Skirt of the Tingel Arm. The Klee was a species wiped out by Xim in Legends
• On Athus Klee Dex found one of Evazan's "gene chop-shops" that he was running for Crimson Dawn.
• Tyro Viveca steals the book next. He is hunting a terentarek on Kashyyyk.
• Tyro took an Ugor steamer to Kashyyyk. Iirc this is the first mention of Ugor outside the race, they seem to be junker spacers just like in Legends
• Hondo gets the book next after Tyro is killed. he plans on forging the whole thing and selling it on the Undervine (Underworld Holonet type station from Aphra comic)
• Hondo names the forged book the "Book of Hondo" which is mentioned in the The Crimson Corsair and the Lost Treasure of Count Dooku
• Whyren's Reserve, an expensive Corellian ale, is canonized. It was extensively mentioned in Legends.
• Hondo sells the book at an auction on Zitrian's Anchor (An obscure WEG station that had an Adventure Journal story about it)
• Rang Clan, Xrexus Cartel, and the Hutts come as potential buyers. All 3 have been mentioned in canon and Xrexus Cartel is now confirmed to have survived even after the Darth Maul comic.
• Gunda Mabin, leader of the Blazing Claw, steals the book from Hondo. He dates all the way back to the WEG era.
• Gunda says that Maz held sway over a thousand ports when the Republic was new.
• Gunda also steals an elixir of Omwat's Grace and a Rhen-Orm biocomputer from Hondo. Omwat was a technologically advanced planet mentioned in numerous Legends works. Rhen-Orm is an obscure reference to the old Aurra Sing comic.
• Dharus' Buccaneers (WEG) are said to be rivals of the Blazing Claw.
• Gunda Mabin found the 1st of Maz's 6 treasures on Moldour.
• A Thalassian Slaver named Krastic Tarta takes out Mabin and steals the book. The comments he makes reveal the Zygerrians are still operating into the Empire Era.
• Tarta is killed by Black Sun and the book ends up in the hands of Gallandro's gang after they raid it from the Lower Tion.
• Gallandro is recanonized. He is running a pirate crew but Han's notes say he became CorpSec's hired gun. (This is the position he was in when Han encountered him in the Legends Han Solo Adventures). Gallandro even has a note saying no one can outdraw him as a gunslinger.
• Honest Loonoo steals the book from Gallandro on Savareen and heads to Nar Shaddaa.
• Haysian Smelt from numerous TLJ tie-ins is mentioned.
• Loonoo buys a "Living Force Elixir" which might mean something in the future.
• The next characters to get it are Ephant Mon and Masse Goskey, both arms dealers. In Legends Goskey owned the Tatooine Arms Emporium and Mon was a gunrunner for Jabba.
• The book passes to Vizago and then to Latts Razzi who now owns her own syndicate but it is slowly being pinched out by the Pykes.
• Crimson Dawn gets it next and Qi'ra is already working with Dryden so this section cant be too far from Solo

• Val and the crew stole the book from one of Dryden's crates in Zarra, the capital city of Cato Neimoidia.
• Enfys Nest interfered in their job on Cato Neimoidia and caused their previous fourth member, a Mon Cala named Tuska, to die.
• Jabba's ship from his old Legends comics, the Star Jewel, is canonized when the logbook is in storage on that ship.
• Saponza from Star Wars: Commander gets it next.
• Saponza worked in the Mytaranor Campaign, Kwymar Suppressions, and Retreat from Parcelus Minor. All of these are early campaigns in the Empire Era.
• Platt Okeefee (The writer of all the smugglers' guides from WEG) gets it next.
• She mentions Black Spire Outpost on Batuu, the location of Galaxy’s Edge
• She also lists the "best things to smuggle". They include aurodium, Greel wood, oro-weave, meleenium, durelium, hyperbarides, Corusca stones, Mandalorian beskar, Quella gems, and prismatic crystals.
• Lando won the book next in a game of pazaak against Platt.
• Lando mentions smuggling seasow milk to Panna. Panna is a Legends planet from The Holiday Special that was also mentioned in Star Tours
• Tonnika Sisters mentioned. They are of course none from their appearances in Mos Eisley and a FACPOV story.
• There is an advertisement for Lando's cheating device. It is supposed to only be used for "amusement purposes"
• Lando lists the small number of casino's he hasn't been banned from. They include Canto Bight, Pavo Prime, Ralleta, and Oseon. Pavo Prime and Ralleta are both Legends pulls from WEG and an old Insider article. Oseon is interesting because that is the casino Lando is gambling at the beginning of the second book in the Lando Calrissian Adventures
• BoShek (another cantina patron from ANH) finds the book on Makem Te (SWTOR and Scourge as well as numerous reference materials)
• Picture of what looks to be an Adarian, also namedropped earlier. These guys are based on unused maquettes fro RotJ. (credit to AV)
• BoShek is accepted into and races in the Dragon Void Run from the Han Solo comic. He loses to fellow Corellian however.
• More Corellia lore as the northern continent from Legends, Agrilat, is mentioned by BoShek.
• BoShek returns the logbook to Maz who immediately gives it to Chewbacca.
• Han and Chewie decide to go after Maz's treasure on Columi. Columi was a legends species from Columus which appeared in some early Bantam works. Rebel Files lists Columi as the species and Columus as the planet so we might have a little snarl here.
• Han mentions his old friend Sonniod. This is yet another pull from the Daley Han Solo books as Sonniod was a smuggler associate of Han.
• Han lists the modifications he's done to the Falcon
• Han says that someone on Junkfort is saying he did the Kessel Run in 11 parsecs. Junkfort is an obscure Legends pull from the 1982 Archie comic strips.

Han Solo Adventures references

• Han mentions running bogus cash schemes for Big Bunji in the Cron Drift. Both these things are mentioned as frequent associates and jobs of Han in Stars' End
• Sunfighter Franchise as an alias for the Falcon just as he did on Bonadan at the beginning of Stars' End
• Han mentions his old friend Sonniod. This is yet another pull from the Daley Han Solo books as Sonniod was a smuggler associate of Han.
• Han mentioned trying to get off the Red List and escape the debt collectors. This is a concept from Han Solo's Revenge as debt collectors would hunt people on the List, including Han.
• An exact event is mentioned as Han is said to have run R'alla mineral water to Rampa II
• Sana is said to have ambushed Han on the Rampa Rapids which got Han and Chewie thrown in jail. This matches up directly with a quote from Stars' End where Sonniod says he knows about Han's troubles on the Rampa Rapids while smuggling water. This exact event, which is now mentioned in Legends and canon, is revisited in detail in one of the NJO books.
• A little bit later Papa Toren sells the contract of Ploovo Two-for-One to Grakkus. Ploovo is yet another character brought back.
• Grakkus was supposed to have gotten a shipment of Mark X Executioner droids but they never showed up. The owner of the Stars End prison had one of these droids.
• An event that happened directly before the HSA in Legends is now canon

Back to Normal again

• Papa Toren got the book next before selling to it Grakkus along with a Mark VII Gladiator droid (Which could be a reference to the Mark VII droids in SWTOR), Ploovo, and Jellied Panna Frogs.
• The Xonti Brothers from Aphra delivered 3 Wookiees from Kashyyyk to fight in Grakkus's pit fights.
• Zandarreo, a Lasat, fought in Grakkus' arena.
• Grakkus is given a full name: Grakkus Jahibakti Tingi
• Misstress Wrollanpff, a one-eyed Wookiee, led a slave uprising in Grakkus' pits along with the Mark VII Gladiator
• Chewie ended up with the book again after getting it from Big Quince, another Wookiee. He carries it around for months before showing Han.
• Han and Chewie leave the Rebellion (which stays consistent with the timeline so this section is around 1-2 months after ANH) to pay off their debts.
• Han goes after one of Maz's treasures, a derelict ship called Graceful Promising. He gets General Ematt and the Pathfinders to assist him. They get the treasure but Han lets Ematt keep the haul because he knows the Rebellion needs it more.
• After this, Han needs an idea for another big score. He comes up with two things: The Ezaraa or the Aquaris Freeholders. The Ezaraa were an insectoid race featured in the Aphra comic and the Aquaris Freeholders is another reference to the Archie comics from the 80s.
• Shesslaria steals the book from Han on Ord Mantell. She is hauling a prisoner to Zorba the Hutt's Palace in the Southern Rim.
• The book changes hands two more times after Shesslaria is attacked and her attacker, Puttana Pin, crash lands on Jedha. It eventually finds its way to Cycyed Ock and Kullbee Sperado, two Partisans who are now confirmed alive and living on the other hemisphere on Jedha.
• Cycyed and Kullbe find a downed Headhunter and escape Jedha, they plan to find the Maz's treasure on Iskalon with their old crew.
• Their old crew is Nersiton, an old member of Gallandro's gang who got killed by the Partisans, Isin, a female Advozec who is working for a traveling menagerie but shows up in Megalox Beta during the Poe comic mentioned as a crime lord, and Rufork Tamson, son of Riff Tamson.
• They mention to get the treasure on Iskalon but are captured and thrown in Megalox Beta Penitentiary. This is the first time we have seen Megalox Beta used as an Imperial prison.
• Prima Wessex stole the logbook on Hosnian Prime. Her last name in Legends was a family of great designers for the Galactic Empire.
• Wessex works for an organization called the Whisper Network. According to Wessex, they are the top information brokers in the galaxy yet no one knows because they are hidden from public view. They pull the strings on syndicates and broker information on all levels of the underworld.
• Wessex mentions lower tier intelligence networks including Deep Current, a rebel network mentioned in Rebel Files, and the Kuophan Spynet, a species from Heir to the Jedi.
• Dr. Evazan disembowels Wessex and goes to the Obroan Intelligence Summit in her stead. He kills everyone there. This event is dubbed the Obroa-skai Massacre. Obroa-Skai itself first showed up in Heir to the Empire and was canonized in Tarkin.
• Evazan mentions the Kingdom of Tion, saying it was "long ago".
• Evazan mentions selling body parts to the "elixir hustlers" on Nar Shaddaa. Probably a call back to the Living Force Elixir from earlier.
• Aphra buys the logbook from Dok-Ondar, a character that will be apart of Galaxy's Edge, acting as an antique dealer on Batuu.
• Aphra's numerous prior employers are mentioned including the University of Bar'leth (Shows up and is mentioned in the comic), Archaeological Association of Archaeo-Prime (also from the comic), and the University of Ridrig Committee for Historic Preservation. The University of Rudrig is in the 3rd Han Solo Adventures book and is where Lyra goes to college in Catalyst.
• Sana and Aphra had a drinking competition at Fort Ypso on Vandor.
• Aphra mentions that Crymorah and Crimson Dawn are losing ground while the Hutts and Pykes are consolidating assets. She has a hunch this has to do with the syndicates in the Eastern Rim finding some of Maz's treasures. We know Black Sun has one which might be why they aren't mentioned as losing ground.
• Aphra then mentions wanting to journey to the Unknown Regions to locate one of the treasures. The location of the treasure is right around where Bakura was on the old Legends map.

New Republic Era

• The next page has a large First Order stamp on it that says "Seized in the name of Supreme Leader Snoke by Commandant Brendol Hux"
• The next page the book has come to Riley from Uprising. She was given it by the Irving Boys after they ditched her at a wayfarers node in the Outer Rim.
• Riley mentions that the Empire is digging in on numerous worlds, including Burnin Konn, even without the Emperor's leadership.
• Riley then mentions that the Irving Boys picked her up in the Anoat sector after traveling from the Unknown Regions, where she suspects they got the logbook. This seems to be after the events of Uprising and, imo, after the Battle of Jakku.
• Riley plans on going to work for the Red Key Raiders. She says they cut the guts out of the Hutt Syndicate after Jabba's death, taking most of their power. The Ivax Syndicate is also a feeder for the Red Key Raiders.
• Sidon Ithano stole the book next from Riley. He mentions that Riley should join the Gray Gundarks, a swoop gang from the Crimson Corsair story.
• An infobox says that Ithano's crew operates in the Lost Clusters, another fact taken from the Crimson Corsair story. The infobox says they are "beyond the Outer Rim". The box also says to deliver inquires to Ponemah Terminal, leading me to believe the Lost Clusters are in the Western Reaches near Jakku. It may be that Ithano operates near or around Jakku.
• Int he next entry, Ithano mentions they are going after the Lost Treasure of Adratharpe 7. His short story also mentions a battle on that planet.
• Seems we know who they were battling as the Red Key Raiders have the book next. Their Underboss, Magnus the Bloodsoaked mentions that he will deliver it to Boss Movellan, who led the Raiders in the Aftermath trilogy.
• The Red Key Raiders are allied with the Black Sun but, according to Magnus, Movellan wants to get rid of the partnership and shrug off the hand of old syndicates in order to form a new structure for the post-Empire underworld.
• Droid Gotra attacks a Red Key freighter next and steals the book. They claim they are not looking for monetary gain, only informational advantage. This is the first time we've seen Droid Gotra in the post-Empire era.
• The Cyban Front is still said to be working with Droid Gotra. They previously were allied during the Aphra comic.
• Guavian Death Gang gets it next. There is a full spread of a Guavian soldier.
• Guavian says the Empire outlawed cybernetic enhancements but that the New Republic is "toothless and lacking the firepower to back up its words" and that they plan on being the next big syndicate.
• Guavian said they are launching a massive attack on Nantoon, one of Maz's treasure planets.
• Kanjiklub gets it next after annihilating the Guavian force in the Cronese Mandate. Razoo Qin-Fee says their freighter line stretches all the way to Foran Tutha, a Tion planet from Tyrant's Test.
• Razoo then mentions that Black Sun, Crymorah, and Crimson Dawn used to run the galaxy and now a new era has arrived.
• The Master Codebreaker gets it next after buying it from Tasu Leech. He also ventures to Cardota, one of the planets in the Hosnian system.
• Master Codebreaker than provides an updated list of the significant players and relationships in the galaxy. The Pykes and Hutts have fallen and Kanjiklub/the Red Key Raiders have taken their place. Black Sun is without a leader and Crymorah has gotten so powerless that Droid Gotra has taken the reigns. Crimson Dawn has faltered with its successors being the Guavians. Overall the big galactic powers in the NR era are: Black Sun, Droid Gotra, Guavian Death Gang, Kanjiklub, and the Red Key Raiders.
• The Kuophans created a way to encrypt codes within genomes which is called biohexacrypting.
• Master Codebreaker places the book back on the Falcon and it stays there as it passes hands through Gannis Ducain, the Irving Boys, and Unkar Plutt

• BoShek is accepted into and races in the Dragon Void Run from the Han Solo comic. He loses to fellow Corellian however.
• More Corellia lore as the northern continent from Legends, Agrilat, is mentioned by BoShek.
• BoShek returns the logbook to Maz who immediately gives it to Chewbacca.
• Han and Chewie decide to go after Maz's treasure on Columi. Columi was a legends species from Columus which appeared in some early Bantam works. Rebel Files lists Columi as the species and Columus as the planet so we might have a little snarl here.

• Han mentioned trying to get off the Red List and escape the debt collectors. This is a concept from Han Solo's Revenge as debt collectors would hunt people on the List, including Han.
• An exact event is mentioned as Han is said to have run R'alla mineral water to Rampa II
• Sana is said to have ambushed Han on the Rampa Rapids which got Han and Chewie thrown in jail. This matches up directly with a quote from Stars' End where Sonniod says he knows about Han's troubles on the Rampa Rapids while smuggling water. This exact event, which is now mentioned in Legends and canon, is revisited in detail in one of the NJO books.

• Wessex works for an organization called the Whisper Network. According to Wessex, they are the top information brokers in the galaxy yet no one knows because they are hidden from public view. They pull the strings on syndicates and broker information on all levels of the underworld.
• Wessex mentions lower tier intelligence networks including Deep Current, a rebel network mentioned in Rebel Files, and the Kuophan Spynet, a species from Heir to the Jedi.
• Dr. Evazan disembowels Wessex and goes to the Obroan Intelligence Summit in her stead. He kills everyone there. This event is dubbed the Obroa-skai Massacre. Obroa-Skai itself first showed up in Heir to the Empire and was canonized in Tarkin.

She has a hunch this has to do with the syndicates in the Eastern Rim finding some of Maz's treasures. We know Black Sun has one which might be why they aren't mentioned as losing ground.
• Aphra then mentions wanting to journey to the Unknown Regions to locate one of the treasures. The location of the treasure is right around where Bakura was on the old Legends map.

New Republic Era

• The next page has a large First Order stamp on it that says "Seized in the name of Supreme Leader Snoke by Commandant Brendol Hux"
• The next page the book has come to Riley from Uprising. She was given it by the Irving Boys after they ditched her at a wayfarers node in the Outer Rim.
• Riley mentions that the Empire is digging in on numerous worlds, including Burnin Konn, even without the Emperor's leadership.
• Riley then mentions that the Irving Boys picked her up in the Anoat sector after traveling from the Unknown Regions, where she suspects they got the logbook. This seems to be after the events of Uprising and, imo, after the Battle of Jakku.
• Riley plans on going to work for the Red Key Raiders. She says they cut the guts out of the Hutt Syndicate after Jabba's death, taking most of their power. The Ivax Syndicate is also a feeder for the Red Key Raiders.
• Sidon Ithano stole the book next from Riley. He mentions that Riley should join the Gray Gundarks, a swoop gang from the Crimson Corsair story.
• An infobox says that Ithano's crew operates in the Lost Clusters, another fact taken from the Crimson Corsair story. The infobox says they are "beyond the Outer Rim". The box also says to deliver inquires to Ponemah Terminal, leading me to believe the Lost Clusters are in the Western Reaches near Jakku. It may be that Ithano operates near or around Jakku.
• Int he next entry, Ithano mentions they are going after the Lost Treasure of Adratharpe 7. His short story also mentions a battle on that planet.
• Seems we know who they were battling as the Red Key Raiders have the book next. Their Underboss, Magnus the Bloodsoaked mentions that he will deliver it to Boss Movellan, who led the Raiders in the Aftermath trilogy.
• The Red Key Raiders are allied with the Black Sun but, according to Magnus, Movellan wants to get rid of the partnership and shrug off the hand of old syndicates in order to form a new structure for the post-Empire underworld.

• Lando lists the small number of casino's he hasn't been banned from. They include Canto Bight, Pavo Prime, Ralleta, and Oseon. Pavo Prime and Ralleta are both Legends pulls from WEG and an old Insider article. Oseon is interesting because that is the casino Lando is gambling at the beginning of the second book in the Lando Calrissian Adventures
• BoShek (another cantina patron from ANH) finds the book on Makem Te (SWTOR and Scourge as well as numerous reference materials)
• Picture of what looks to be an Adarian, also namedropped earlier. These guys are based on unused maquettes fro RotJ. (credit to AV)
• BoShek is accepted into and races in the Dragon Void Run from the Han Solo comic. He loses to fellow Corellian however.
• More Corellia lore as the northern continent from Legends, Agrilat, is mentioned by BoShek.
• BoShek returns the logbook to Maz who immediately gives it to Chewbacca.
• Han and Chewie decide to go after Maz's treasure on Columi. Columi was a legends species from Columus which appeared in some early Bantam works. Rebel Files lists Columi as the species and Columus as the planet so we might have a little snarl here.
• Han mentions his old friend Sonniod. This is yet another pull from the Daley Han Solo books as Sonniod was a smuggler associate of Han.
• Han lists the modifications he's done to the Falcon
• Han says that someone on Junkfort is saying he did the Kessel Run in 11 parsecs. Junkfort is an obscure Legends pull from the 1982 Archie comic strips.

Han Solo Adventures references

• Han mentions running bogus cash schemes for Big Bunji in the Cron Drift. Both these things are mentioned as frequent associates and jobs of Han in Stars' End
• Sunfighter Franchise as an alias for the Falcon just as he did on Bonadan at the beginning of Stars' End
• Han mentions his old friend Sonniod. This is yet another pull from the Daley Han Solo books as Sonniod was a smuggler associate of Han.
• Han mentioned trying to get off the Red List and escape the debt collectors. This is a concept from Han Solo's Revenge as debt collectors would hunt people on the List, including Han.
• An exact event is mentioned as Han is said to have run R'alla mineral water to Rampa II
• Sana is said to have ambushed Han on the Rampa Rapids which got Han and Chewie thrown in jail. This matches up directly with a quote from Stars' End where Sonniod says he knows about Han's troubles on the Rampa Rapids while smuggling water. This exact event, which is now mentioned in Legends and canon, is revisited in detail in one of the NJO books.
• A little bit later Papa Toren sells the contract of Ploovo Two-for-One to Grakkus. Ploovo is yet another character brought back.
• Grakkus was supposed to have gotten a shipment of Mark X Executioner droids but they never showed up. The owner of the Stars End prison had one of these droids.
• An event that happened directly before the HSA in Legends is now canon

• Papa Toren got the book next before selling to it Grakkus along with a Mark VII Gladiator droid (Which could be a reference to the Mark VII droids in SWTOR), Ploovo, and Jellied Panna Frogs.
• The Xonti Brothers from Aphra delivered 3 Wookiees from Kashyyyk to fight in Grakkus's pit fights.
• Zandarreo, a Lasat, fought in Grakkus' arena.
• Grakkus is given a full name: Grakkus Jahibakti Tingi
• Misstress Wrollanpff, a one-eyed Wookiee, led a slave uprising in Grakkus' pits along with the Mark VII Gladiator
• Chewie ended up with the book again after getting it from Big Quince, another Wookiee. He carries it around for months before showing Han.
• Han and Chewie leave the Rebellion (which stays consistent with the timeline so this section is around 1-2 months after ANH) to pay off their debts.
• Han goes after one of Maz's treasures, a derelict ship called Graceful Promising. He gets General Ematt and the Pathfinders to assist him. They get the treasure but Han lets Ematt keep the haul because he knows the Rebellion needs it more.
• After this, Han needs an idea for another big score. He comes up with two things: The Ezaraa or the Aquaris Freeholders. The Ezaraa were an insectoid race featured in the Aphra comic and the Aquaris Freeholders is another reference to the Archie comics from the 80s.
• Shesslaria steals the book from Han on Ord Mantell. She is hauling a prisoner to Zorba the Hutt's Palace in the Southern Rim.
• The book changes hands two more times after Shesslaria crash lands on Jedha. It eventually finds its way to Cycyed Ock and Kullbee Sperado, two Partisans who are now confirmed alive and living on the other hemisphere on Jedha.
• Cycyed and Kullbe find a downed Headhunter and escape Jedha, they plan to find the Maz's treasure on Iskalon with their old crew.
• Their old crew is Nersiton, an old member of Gallandro's gang who got killed by the Partisans, Isin, a male Advozec who is working for a traveling menagerie but shows up in Megalox Beta during the Poe comic mentioned as a crime lord, and Rufork Tamson, son of Riff Tamson.
• They mention to get the treasure on Iskalon but are captured and thrown in Megalox Beta Penitentary. This is the first time we have seen Megalox Beta used as an Imperial prison.
• Prima Wessex stole the logbook on Hosnian Prime. Her last name in Legends was a family of great designers for the Galactic Empire.
• Wessex works for an organization called the Whisper Network. According to Wessex, they are the top information brokers in the galaxy yet no one knows because they are hidden from public view. They pull the strings on syndicates and broker information on all levels of the underworld.
• Wessex mentions lower tier intelligence networks including Deep Current, a rebel network mentioned in Rebel Files, and the Kuophan Spynet, a species from Heir to the Jedi.
• Dr. Evazan disembowels Wessex and goes to the Obroan Intelligence Summit in her stead. He kills everyone there. This event is dubbed the Obroa-skai Massacre. Obroa-Skai itself first showed up in Heir to the Empire and was canonized in Tarkin.
• Evazan mentions the Kingdom of Tion, saying it was "long ago".
• Evazan mentions selling body parts to the "elixir hustlers" on Nar Shaddaa. Probably a call back to the Living Force Elixir from earlier.
• Aphra buys the logbook from Dok-Ondar, a character that will be apart of Galaxy's Edge, acting as an antique dealer on Batuu.
• Aphra's numerous prior employers are mentioned including the University of Bar'leth (Shows up and is mentioned in the comic), Archaeological Association of Archaeo-Prime (also from the comic), and the University of Ridrig Committee for Historic Preservation. The University of Rudrig is in the 3rd Han Solo Adventures book and is where Lyra goes to college in Catalyst.
• Sana and Aphra had a drinking competition at Fort Ypso on Vandor.
• Aphra mentions that Crymorah and Crimson Dawn are losing ground while the Hutts and Pykes are consolidating assets. She has a hunch this has to do with the syndicates in the Eastern Rim finding some of Maz's treasures. We know Black Sun has one which might be why they aren't mentioned as losing ground.
• Aphra then mentions wanting to journey to the Unknown Regions to locate one of the treasures. The location of the treasure is right around where Bakura was on the old Legends map.

New Republic Era

• The next page has a large First Order stamp on it that says "Seized in the name of Supreme Leader Snoke by Commandant Brendol Hux"
• The next page the book has come to Riley from Uprising. She was given it by the Irving Boys after they ditched her at a wayfarers node in the Outer Rim.
• Riley mentions that the Empire is digging in on numerous worlds, including Burnin Konn, even without the Emperor's leadership.
• Riley then mentions that the Irving Boys picked her up in the Anoat sector after traveling from the Unknown Regions, where she suspects they got the logbook. This seems to be after the events of Uprising and, imo, after the Battle of Jakku.
• Riley plans on going to work for the Red Key Raiders. She says they cut the guts out of the Hutt Syndicate after Jabba's death, taking most of their power. The Ivax Syndicate is also a feeder for the Red Key Raiders.
• Sidon Ithano stole the book next from Riley. He mentions that Riley should join the Gray Gundarks, a swoop gang from the Crimson Corsair story.
• An infobox says that Ithano's crew operates in the Lost Clusters, another fact taken from the Crimson Corsair story. The infobox says they are "beyond the Outer Rim". The box also says to deliver inquires to Ponemah Terminal, leading me to believe the Lost Clusters are in the Western Reaches near Jakku. It may be that Ithano operates near or around Jakku.
• Int he next entry, Ithano mentions they are going after the Lost Treasure of Adratharpe 7. His short story also mentions a battle on that planet.
• Seems we know who they were battling as the Red Key Raiders have the book next. Their Underboss, Magnus the Bloodsoaked mentions that he will deliver it to Boss Movellan, who led the Raiders in the Aftermath trilogy.
• The Red Key Raiders are allied with the Black Sun but, according to Magnus, Movellan wants to get rid of the partnership and shrug off the hand of old syndicates in order to form a new structure for the post-Empire underworld.
• Droid Gotra attacks a Red Key freighter next and steals the book. They claim they are not looking for monetary gain, only informational advantage. This is the first time we've seen Droid Gotra in the post-Empire era.
• The Cyban Front is still said to be working with Droid Gotra. They previously were allied during the Aphra comic.
• Guavian Death Gang gets it next. There is a full spread of a Guavian soldier.
• Guavian says the Empire outlawed cybernetic enhancements but that the New Republic is "toothless and lacking the firepower to back up its words" and that they plan on being the next big syndicate.
• Guavian said they are launching a massive attack on Nantoon, one of Maz's treasure planets.
• Kanjiklub gets it next after annihilating the Guavian force in the Cronese Mandate. Razoo Qin-Fee says their freighter line stretches all the way to Foran Tutha, a Tion planet from Tyrant's Test.
• Razoo then mentions that Black Sun, Crymorah, and Crimson Dawn used to run the galaxy and now a new era has arrived.
• The Master Codebreaker gets it next after buying it from Tasu Leech. He also ventures to Cardota, one of the planets in the Hosnian system.
• Master Codebreaker than provides an updated list of the significant players and relationships in the galaxy. The Pykes and Hutts have fallen and Kanjiklub/the Red Key Raiders have taken their place. Black Sun is without a leader and Crymorah has gotten so powerless that Droid Gotra has taken the reigns. Crimson Dawn has faltered with its successors being the Guavians. Overall the big galactic powers in the NR era are: Black Sun, Droid Gotra, Guavian Death Gang, Kanjiklub, and the Red Key Raiders.
• The Kuophans created a way to encrypt codes within genomes which is called biohexacrypting.
• Master Codebreaker places the book back on the Falcon and it stays there as it passes hands through Gannis Ducain, the Irving Boys, and Unkar Plutt

The National Bank of Indianapolis Summer Nights Film Series - Various days June-August, at The Amphitheater. You can watch movies under the stars every weekend at Newfields. Karl Martz and the Legacy of IU Ceramics - May 4th to July 27th, 1-4pm, at the Haan Museum of Indiana Art. Martz’s influence spread throughout Indiana and beyond through the ceramics program that he established at IU in 1945, and through his students. Many of Martz’s students went on to teach at universities, and others established successful careers as independent ceramic artists. The exhibition features works by Karl Martz, faculty that taught (or still teach) in the IU Ceramics Department, and students who went on to establish successful careers in ceramics.

Evansville Otters at Bosse Field - Various days at Bosse Field. Locally owned and a member of the Frontier League, the Otters are the darlings of summer. The Art of the Monon - April 1st to August 31st, 10am-4pm at the French Lick West Baden Museum. The Monon was Indiana’s railroad and touched every town in Orange County. See the Monon paintings of renowned railroad artist Howard Fogg and other rare Monon items.

• Huntingburg

Dubois County Bombers at League Stadium - Various days at the League Stadium. League Stadium was home to the Rockford Peaches in the hit movie A League of Their Own. The vintage signage, scoreboard, and atmosphere remain. The Bombers play in vintage-inspired uniforms - pants are knickered, stirrups are worn. The crack of a wood bat against a baseball resounds through the stadium. You may hear Who’s on First over the audio. We even have our own Peaches at the games keeping everything in the stadium rolling, while our coaches and players keep it exciting on the field.

• Rising Sun

Rock on Rising Sun - April 10th to September 30th on Main Street. Search and re-hide painted rocks hidden within the City of Rising Sun city limits. Spearheaded by a local resident, thousands of rocks are painted throughout the season for kids of all ages to find and re-hide. Participants are encouraged to paint their own creations and hide within the city limits. Photos of found rocks are asked to be uploaded to the Rock on Rising Sun
