I've had a few incredibly exhausting months and now that I'm ✨officially✨ on Christmas break (and in quarantine), I find myself with too much freetime on my hands, which I'm not used to anymore. I moved to Scotland for my PhD earlier this year, and moving to a different country in a pandemic is weird. I'm very lucky to have somehow managed to make two friends there, but they are internationals too and I wish I knew someone Scottish to show me the ropes, basically. But you don't necessarily have to be Scottish, I do appreciate people from anywhere! I'm interested in a range of things really, I like listening to people being passionate about something, even if I don't know much about that particular thing myself — I'm always willing to learn. I do, however, know quite a bit about literature, theatre, and opera. I study Latin and Greek, and apart from Classics I've been a bit obsessed with Celtic, Anglo-Saxon and Norse history and mythology lately. I've recently started to write poetry (honestly it's not good but I'll hopefully get there? I realised it's not easy at all), so if you write poetry, or write in general, let's talk about that. I'm first and foremost a reader, not necessarily a writer. What else? Moving to Scotland has made me realise that I'm more outdoorsy than I thought I was (I'm actually a city boy), and now that I'm staying elsewhere over the holidays, I quite miss the rain and the mud and the river behind my flat. I'd love to see what it's like where you live, as I can't leave the house at the moment. Please feel free to say hi and then let's see where that takes us! I'm 25 and male, by the way, and I'm strictly interested in platonic situations, because I'm somewhat in a relationship.

Quarantine question about uk to Germany with a transit in Belgium (Eurostar)
Hey just wanted to check if anyone know what the situation would be with the above? We would change from Eurostar to ice trains bound for Germany inside Brussels station. But would we then be screwed with quarantine as we transited through Brussels? (But not even leave the station or maybe platform?) thanks a lot.
