Hi all, any news on the above mentioned, Epiphone made in USA Casino? I know it was shown at NAMM earlier this year, but then, nothing...I was incredibly excited about this news as I wanted previously to get an Epiphone Elitist Casino (made in Japan) but they were quietly discontinued last year. I assume this is intended to replace that line?

[Question] Beginner Electric Choice Paralysis

Afternoon guys and gals, not only is this my first post on Guitar, it's my first post on Reddit. So bear with me :P
I've been teaching myself to play acoustic for about 10 months now and I love it. But recently, I've been itching to get in on some dirty electric action. I've spent the last week researching and still haven't settled on anything. Any advice would be much appreciated.
For starters, here are some of the bands - songs I love:

OK, now for the struggle. I'm looking primarily at used guitars around the ~$400-600 range. Here are a few I've been looking at:

Epiphone Casino - $599 (I know BlckPF and GCJr use these, feedback issues?, can't find used)
Epiphone Elitist Les Paul - $490 (w/ hard case, Japan-made 2004, effin beautiful)
Epiphone Les Paul Standard - $325
Schecter Corsair Diamond - $400 (Bigsby?, also gorgeous)
Schecter Solo II - $450
Paul Reed Smith SE 245 - $415
Ibanez Artcore AS73 - $280
ESP LTD EC-401VF - $300
Gibson SG Special - $600 (57 Classic pickup on neck?)

Whew, apologies for the long post. I am open to alternative suggestions for guitars, amps, pedals?, or other gear.
Most of all I want a guitar that will grow with me, and can make the kinds of sounds that have me smiling like an idiot.

[Question] Can anyone help my identify this Casino?

Hi everyone, I am in Japan and recently ran across this guitar. It is a beautiful guitar, but when I try to find it so that I can verify the value of it, I can't seem to pin it down. I know that Japan had some Elitist-Quality models that are only available here, but I can't verify whether or not this is one of them, and if so, what a fair price to pay for it would be. it is an Epiphone Casino with a Natural Finish, here is the sticker for the guitar! Help!

Is it irrational to pay 1500ish for an Epiphone Casino Elitist?

The casino has a very unique tone; chimey yet warm, not to mention that Lennon/McCartney used them throughout the bulk of their terms in the Beatles. I just can't seem to justify paying that much for an Epiphone made in Japan. What do you think would be a better buy for that amount of money? I'm looking for a guitar with a vintage/raw tone.
